"Very responsive, got a quote onsite the day after first speaking with them, they started and finished the job next day. (The job was to remove two very broken up walkways, about 60 linear feet total and replace.) John the foreman was very responsive and helpful and Peter and Jim who did the actual work clearly had a lot of experience and knew what they were doing. No long breaks or goofing off for them -- very hard workers. The job turned out very well. UPDATE 4/313/2020: I hired Top Rank several months ago to install concrete walkways. I hired them again for another property to remove, dig up 3 inches of stone powder, and reset in cement on a concrete and rebar base a large blue stone patio and 200 feet of walkways. They were fast and did a great job once again."

"We were referred to Pepe Paving by friends of ours who had just used them and were very happy. Since our friend has high standards and a good eye, we soon after called Pepe Paving for a quote. Maurizio of Pepe Paving redid our patio and created our new retaining wall, replacing our crumbling brick patio and retaining wall bordering it, and removing an undefined buried heap of junk on the corner of our property left by the previous owners (old pipes, fences and other construction debris). The quote he gave us was very reasonable and he was prompt, helpful and professional. He responded to questions within 24-48 hour period. And when the job required more work than initially anticipated (due to 2 hidden layers of cement patio under our original brick patio), he didn’t upcharge us and still managed to finish on time. The final patio and retaining wall far exceeded our expectations. The patio has elevated the look of our house and created a great place for entertaining. Belgium block was installed on both sides of the driveway and we had work done to our window well, at the same time. The work was done efficiently and with genuine care. "Extensive work was done quickly, professionally, and cleanly. Initially we wanted the basement mold problem fixed, but half of the basement was finished so we could not inspect that part of the basement. After demolition we found that the existing walls were bowing due to outside water pressure and cracks (horizontal and vertical) were found. Mario Grano & Sons installed: a perimeter water management system which drains into two corner sump pump pits, excavated 18 inches away from the existing block wall by removing concrete pad, lined the trench with bluestone gravel and inserted perforated pipe with sock to drain into the sump pits, drilled holes in existing block to allow drainage of the wall, installed 10 pilasters (sawtoothed into existing block) to keep existing walls stable, installed hollow kick molding to allow block wall to drain to trench, finished the drainage system with a smooth concrete surface, installed two quality sump pumps and connected them outside to existing downspout drainage to the street, cleaned block walls of mold and applied a mold inhibitor/encapsulator, underpinned the footings around the sump pump pits and around two cracks in the footing. The did this all quickly, cleanly, and professionally. Mario Grano & Sons were very careful with our house, courteous, and always went to great lengths to keep things clean and tidy each of the 9 work days they were here. I would unconditionally recommend Mario Grano & Sons for any other project. They are very smart about their business and perform the best work that anyone can imagine."

"We purchased a house that was 20 years old. We needed our concrete walkway repaired, as it sank over a period of several years, leaving the distance between steps as a safety hazard. Brian and his crew assessed the situation and did an amazing job. Besides replacing the entire concrete walkway, they also installed a railing. They did another railing in the back of the house and installed a new mailbox as well. 2 days in and we've had many compliments on both the mailbox and walkway. Another neighbor has already asked if HMD is willing to do their mailbox. No job to small (or big, as I believe they're used to doing much larger jobs in the metro area). They also kept our property and surrounding area clean. They loaded equipment and materials in and out, and it was a "busy site" for a couple of days, but when they cleaned up, you would never know they were there, except for the quality craftsmanship they left behind. The front of our house looks better than ever."
