"I purchased a ranch home with a finished basement in 2012 in Chester County. The sellers lied on the seller’s disclosure form and stated that the basement did not get any water. The first heavy rainstorm that we had left behind 2 inches of water in the entire basement. I had another basement waterproofing company come in to give me an estimate… naturally, after getting that estimate, I called a second company to compare, this time I called Access Basement Systems. Michael came out and was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. His estimate came in quite a bit lower than the other company, and I just felt that he was the right person to use. Since I had such a good experience using Access Basement Systems the last time, I hired him to repair the problem in my new house. This time, they also do finishing work (since our basement is currently finished). Super convenient that they can come in, tear the walls down, put in the waterproofing system, and refinish my basement in just a couple of weeks time. It’s not in my budget to have it replaced, so I wanted to find a company that would use hot tar to seal the cracks and then apply a brush-on sealer. I contacted several companies that would not do both of these procedures, and if they did, the price would almost double. I found RDS’s website and requested a quote via e-mail. They promptly got back to me and scheduled a date to come and do a free estimate. The gentleman that did the estimate was willing to hear me out on what I wanted to get done, and took it all into account. The foreman introduced himself with a firm handshake, introduced his co-worker and took the time in the blaring heat wave of mid July to explain exactly what their work entailed. Wow-how professional. They did the work exactly as described in the contract in a non-hurried, but deliberate manner. Our roughly 900 square foot driveway was coated with a deep, rich and dark looking spray that had our ancient driveway that, admittedly, should be replaced, looking like new. Afterwards, they cleaned up their gear and staked a caution tape across the driveway entrance. And then, the perfect conclusion to a job well done: they took the time and asked me to inspect their work and asked if there was anything more they could do. The foreman explained curing time and when OK to use the driveway and expected their work to keep the driveway surface in good shape for another 2 or 3 years. This was an ideal business transaction and I would tell you plainly to hire Robert Stanley Asphalt Maintenance."
