"Superb work, especially by roofer Erik Hofer, who managed the project. They were able to complete the roof (in December), repaired a section of gutter, and built a saddle behind the chimney to facilitate better water and leaf runoff. They arrived as scheduled and finished on schedule. After our horrid winter, we experienced ice dam leak in February. This was likely not the fault of the new roof, but even so, Erik came out himself the very next day and steamed the ice dam away and removed the snow from the section where the leak occurred, all without charging us, calling it a "courtesy call"! All-in-all, a fabulous job, with Mr. Hofer in particular standing out for his customer service."

"Replacing a roof and gutters is a major project and finding the right roofing company was very important to me. I met with a number of different companies and finally decided on CHI (Craftsman Home Improvement). They didn’t just come look at the roof and send me a proposal instead they came looked at the roof and spent over an hour with me explaining the process working with me on how to improve the gutters so the flow would be better for my property. This did not mean more expensive gutters just a Different installation from previous. Once I contracted with them the project manger reached out to set up a start date. The team that came out to do the job was both professional and efficient. They did a great job. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a new roof. They also coordinated with the team doing some chimney repairs on my house which was extremely helpful to me."

Showed current styles available and provided a price after my selection.  Agreed upon a date.  The crew came at 7:30 AM and finished about 8:05 PM  Agent said he'd do it in 1 day and he did.  Neighbor couldn't believe they did it all in 1 day, whereas most new roofs take 3 to 4 days.  Clean-up was very good and delivered on what they said they would do. <br />"

The scope of work was very detailed to include photos. He also made sure that new aluminum facia would match my existing facia. The cost was around what I was expecting and there was never any pressure to get the work scheduled. The install crew did a great job and were very professional and cleaned up after they were done."

"Following a storm that left hail damage to our roof, we contacted Black Bear Builders. While working with Stuart to choose roofing materials we decided to update the entire exterior of our house. This included siding, gutters, and garage doors. Stuart provided many roofing and siding samples for us to choose from and was quick to provide additional samples when requested. Stuart and his team were very friendly and professional. The quality of the work is top notch. Stuart was able to accommodate our special demands, such as lighting for the address, additional electrical for the Christmas lights, decorative brackets, and the dimensions of the complementary siding. Stuart came back multiple times after the roof was completed to check for nails in the drive, shrubs, and yard. He showed the same concern for our satisfaction after the siding was completed as well. It looks like we live in a new house now. It has been eight months since the siding was installed and we still get that feeling of satisfaction every time we pull up to our home.
