He and is crew arrived as scheduled and completed the tree and shrub removal including removing the roots and grinding the tree stump below groud level and carefully removed of all the debris without damaging any of the yard, walkway or other close by vegetation. "I called Jim from this company after reviewing other companies on Angies List doing the same work.  Quotes for the stumping included removal of the tree remains and without their removal.  I decided to do the removal myself to save money and had 14 bags of tree shred to bag and remove (next time I will pay to have that done!). His quote was right in the ballpark with the stumping and said he could come out the same day of my call which worked out great, better than the other quotes. 

He arrived right on time same day and said he would honor the quote even though we found that the stump and roots would be extending way further than I thought they went.  He has a stumper that is worth watching work (from a distance!).  He was able to contain the remains from flying all over the yard and he took a reasonable amount of time to complete the work.  I was surprised how much there was to a tree and he stumped it down enough so now I can plant grass with no problem.  

We spoke after about the job and he insisted on honoring his original quote even though there was more work to do than I thought.  I told Jim I was an Angies List member and he said he would appreciate a review which I am quite happy to do.   "

Update: A few months after the fence was installed, a few of the wooden caps that cover the fence posts began to split, assumedly because of water.  I called them, they sent someone out, and replaced the broken parts free of charge under the warranty."

We called 4 different contractors, John from Don Green's Dirt Service was the only one that called us back. He came out within the week and gave us a quote. It took time trying to discuss with 10 people. John stopped out for a second time and gave us 3 different options as price was a concern. Once we all agreed on price/work, John and his team were able to come out the next week and complete work. A few of us watched the whole process. You could tell how efficient they were as doing this many times. Work was completed in 1 day and for quote amount. There was extra gravel used but John did not charge us any extra. The road looks great and concerns were fixed. John and his team took the time to walk us thru the project and inspect before payment. They did such a great job on this we are having them back in the spring to clear part of our land.
