"Very well. The removal of old plantings was done quickly and removal of all debris and site clean-up was quick and thorough. The new plantings are much more appropriate for the house and property. The accent lighting is very attractive and the sprinkler system is working like new and keeping the new plants alive. I am looking forward to the replacement of the concrete driveway with pavers later this month. This is the last phase of the work requested."

"They completely transformed our front yard- added pavers, sod, and new greenery. They were responsive, well priced, and such a pleasure to work with! They brought a point of view and delivered exactly what we hoped for with (admittedly) little clear guidance."

"<p>D&D Aluminum is a great company. Carey Tarplay came to our  home to give an estimate. He suggested we visit his showroom, which we did. We were able to see all of the options to choose from, styles, colors, etc.  We wanted to replace our old sliding glass doors with French doors and Carey explained everything that needed to be done and helped us choose the proper layout for the side glass and French doors.  My husband and I had checked out a couple of competitors showrooms and I had fallen in love with a front door at one of them. D&D Aluminum didn't carry this line, but Carey said not to worry, he would be able to special order this door for us. This was above and beyond the service I expected.</p> <p>The doors and windows were installed on time and perfect.  The Cooper City building inspector said it was a great job.</p> <p>We are so happy with the workmanship that we now are using D&D Aluminum to add a screened in patio to the back of our house.</p> <p>WE highly recommend D&D Aluminum to anyone in the market for new windows and doors.</p> <br />"

"I contacted The Master’s Lawn Care for a quote to sand our paver patio/deck and front walkway. I knew there were problems with the original construction of the deck (uneven pavers, gaps between pavers and sitting wall and deck, etc.). Rusty, the owner, explained that using polymeric sand would provide structural integrity to the deck and I would not need to resend each year. While their quote was on the high side, the company’s reviews were very good, so I went ahead and contracted for the work. The results of the initial sanding did not meet my expectations. However, I realize that was in many ways attributable to the the issues noted above. However, Rusty had one of his men, Adam, come back twice to finish the job to my satisfaction. Adam worked diligently to give me a deck that looks like new. I am very pleased with the results."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Elkton, FL

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
