"Gerael and team were amazing. I found him on Angi and they completely demoed and retiled our entire 2,500 SF home in Tierra Verde. From there they completely remade our master bathroom shower and tub area with marble tile. In addition to great workmanship Gerael, never missed a start date and once they started, they did not stop until the job was completed unlike so many other contractors that i have dealt with that over promise and under deliver. I highly recommend Batz Tile!!!"

He is extremely meticulous with his work and does not rush. We have a 400 lb statue on the lanai that I certainly can’t move. I asked Olaf if he could tile around it, and he flatly refused telling me that is not the proper way to do the job. He moved the statue to complete the job, and moved it back into place without being asked. We are ecstatic with the results snd will definitely hire Olaf again. "I have never dealt with a more incompetent company as Best Flooring. It started with the removal of all the original flooring which left holes in my wall, chipped cabinets and every corner of my house walls scuffed. They were very apologetic and promised to make it right…They didn’t. I brought up many concerns during demolition and installation. My floors upstairs were creaking like I lived in a 100 year home. There were cracked planks in every room. The floors were moving when stepped on. They came out twice to fix the problems and used my 4 un-opened boxes to replace the “problem” areas. I finally had to get a certified floor specialist to come to my home to give an unbiased opinion on what was going on. Which cost more money out of my pocket. Come to find out they never leveled my floors correctly. So As of right now I am out of over $22,000…What I paid them for the flooring, what the flooring cost and plumber fees. They broke my flanges on 2 toilets and reinstalled my master bath toilet when repairing the floors for the second time and the toilet leaked to my downstairs. There is countless other problems like ruining my rug, spilling something on my outside freshly painted porch that is now discolored. I could go on and on. My floors are only 3 months old!!! Please do not use this company. They are awful and have no clue what they are doing!"

Laminate wood or stone flooring installations FAQs
Laminate flooring is made of multiple layers of synthetic material bonded together. The top layer is made from resin, which seals and protects the rest of the flooring from scratches and stains. The decorative layer features a print image of wood, stone, or ceramic, while the core is made from high-density fiberboard and resin to provide strength and structure. The bottom layer protects the core from moisture.
Carpet installs average $3.50 to $11 per square foot, while laminate runs $6 to $14. Carpet costs less up front, but laminate lasts longer, cuts down on maintenance, and delivers a stronger ROI. If you’re looking for durability and a resale bump, laminate often wins out despite the higher initial price.
AC ratings measure durability. An AC1 plank handles light foot traffic, while AC5 stands up to busy commercial spaces. The tougher the plank, the higher the price, an extra $1 to $3.50 per square foot. Choosing the right rating helps you balance budget and longevity.
You can lay laminate over most hard surfaces, but never over carpet. The soft pile doesn’t give the planks the solid, level base they need and can void the warranty. Instead, remove the carpet, check that the subfloor is flat, and roll out a firm underlayment before installation.
Laminate can add value when it replaces tired carpet, vinyl, or linoleum. A fresh, wood-look surface upgrades the room’s style without the cost of solid hardwood. Opt for high-quality planks with realistic patterns and good AC ratings to boost durability—and your home’s resale appeal.
