"I will call this “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly review” as I am breaking this review into the 3 teams that we had – 2 very good and done quickly and 1 inferior with the most time spent at our house – thus the overall 3 star grade. The Good • Roofing Team – Grade: A. Efficient, good job, found virtually no nails or roofing materials on the ground • Gutters – Grade: A. One man crew but he knew what he was doing and provided good suggestions for modifying our water flow. The Bad • Siding & Window Team – Grade: C to D. Not sure how they were trained but they didn’t seem to understand some common construction basics. A few of the many examples – o They nailed the siding on wrong and had to start over. o They almost ripped the 120V electrical outlet off the house without turning off the breaker but it was the weekend and we happened to be in the garden and saw them. o Installed the dryer vent wrong twice – once painting it shut and the next time putting on a vent with a label on it saying “not for use with clothes dryers” due to the pre-installed screen. The Ugly • Siding & Window Team – Used caulk as touch up paint on LP Smartside (or just used the siding to clean off their dirty fingers?) – leaving random “chicken pox marks” all over new siding. Garage, driveway and all 4 sides of our house were filled with equipment and garbage for the length of the project. Not the crew to have if you have children or pets – they left old saw blades and other sharp objects around the garage entrance and the house. I didn’t expect a spotless home every night but I didn’t expect to be living with this much disarray with minimal clean up each night, even after asking the supervisor to improve pickup of at least garbage and sharp objects in the garage and the common walking paths. Nor did we expect to be spending our fall cleaning caulk off the “maintenance free” siding and re-painting it and installing our outside boxes correctly. I will give the owner credit for realizing that his siding and window crew did inferior work and giving us a discount on our bill. None-the-less, I am rating the services provided based on the quality of the work done."

"Troy came when he said he would, inspected my roof, and did a great job of explaining what he did as a temporary "fix" and what he found. He then quoted me a cost for fixing the leak around the chimney and I hired him. He and his team were there when they said they would be, the work was performed, and the yard cleaned up. I'm very happy with Troy, his team, and the work performed. I would highly recommend them to others who need roof work done."

"The concern was ice dam damage. It was great working with chad at cml. He was on top of everything and always responded right away with any questions or concerns throughout the process. New interior sheet rock and insulation and a new roof all turned out great and I would not hesitate to use this company again. Thanks John"

"Went well initially. The technician had his son working with him, however assured me that he would be the one inside making sure that things went well. I asked if I needed to cover anything and again, he assured me that there was no need as he would be using a shop vacuum to suck up soot and particles being directed downward from top of chimney. His son at some point was the one inside using the shop vac to suck up the debris. All went well until he wrapped up the vac. He accidentally let the coil of the vacuum touch the arm of the sofa and the side of the ottoman leaving black soot on both pieces which were brand new. I showed his father when he came in and he was visibly upset that this happened. His son apologized emphatically as he felt bad about what had happened. His dad initially said I could use soap and water to clean it up, but I told him that I expect compensation for any cleaning done by professional as it was spot on both pieces. He took pics and sent them to Nick the owner. I took my own pics and emailed, as well as called to resolve the issue. I was called back immediately and spoke to Nick who apologized and assured me that I would be compensated for any professional cleaning of my furniture. After I had my pieces cleaned, the company I used sent Nick the receipt for services rendered and I had a check in the mail less than a week later. Other than this little mishap, I would highly recommend Nicks Chimney Service because of the professionalism and expedited resolution when I had a problem."

"Ryan was very thorough in accessing our needs for our damage roof and as we added other areas of home repair that were needed he was quick to get his team out to get an assessment and quote for the additional work the needed to be completed. His crews were very hard working and the quality of work they did was excellent. Ryan did find some things that didn’t meet his high expectations and was quick to get his crew out to finish what he expected. "Blue Hills roofing is the ONLY Platinum Preferred Contractor for Owens Corning in the Eau Claire, WI  area & was recommended by the Owens Corning regional representative to CHECK the work/errors of the original installer & to verify the warranty conditions were followed by the original contractor. Sorry to say that the original contractor I picked was only a Preferred Contractor for Owens Corning & made numerous quality errors that resulted in leaks!
My original plea for help was immediatelly answered by Blue Hills Roofing & an appointment to check my roof was performed by Anthony in quick order. After showing Anthony my roof issues, they promptly provided an estimate for the rework needed to correct the errors of the original roofer. The date they provided for the rework was very satisfactory and they were prompt & professional & met the projected dates. Oh..and now is the first time since August 2014 that my roof is not leaking!!
They provided photographic evidence of the errors the original contractor's team had made and provided a detailed written report listing all the errors they uncovered as they repaired my roof. The original roofing contractor failed to detect a rotted deck board and put ice guard over a hole the size of an orange in my roof along with numerous nail punctures.
The install team &  staff of Blue Hills Roofing gave confidence for my wife & I that our roof was CORRECTED to the standards that Owening Cornings requires to meet their warranty requirements.
One of my previous lives was as a Quality Professional at Mayo Clinic & I was plesantly surprised when I was called by the owner/president of Blue Hills Roofing to provide feedback on the work his company had done. In the Quality trade this is called the 'Voice of The Customer'!
My wife & I have given permission for Blue Hills Roofing to use us as a reference if they so desire!! I still have there signin my fornt yard!

"The service was outstanding! Pann was very easy to work with, extremely helpful, courteous, and very quick to respond when we reached out to him. He was very professional, friendly and personable. We never felt like we were not his number one priority. He followed-up multiple times to make sure we were in the loop with the process and where we were in the process of the claim and services.
