"I was leery of getting a new roof. Our house is almost a hundred years old and had asphalt shingle over the original wood shake. As Matt (owner of MAP Construction) explained to me, when you tear off a wood shake roof, you have to completely re-deck the whole thing. In our case, that would mean almost 90 sheets of plywood. I had heard horror stories about roofing contractors and how unprofessional they were. And getting a new roof is a big scary-- your home is opened up and vulnerable for the few days it takes to complete the job. I was also worried about the high cost of a new roof. I had put away more than $20,000 and ended up spending a lot less. So I decided I would get 5 or 6 estimates. Matt responded first and came to our house at exactly the designated time. He spend over an hour and a half with me and my wife, answering all our questions. We didn't get any additional estimates. The whole process went exceptionally well from estimate through clean up. The whole crew was courteous, timely and a pleasure to be around. Matt checked in every day, returned my calls promptly and answered all my questions. In the end, the final bill was exactly what was estimated to the penny. I would have done the roof 3 or 4 years ago if I'd known it would be this easy."

Our sister’s metal roof was painted ensuring a number of years of use without problems. Our gutters were cleaned and most important out siding was replaced that was damaged by a tree a number of years ago. Travis and his wife made calls and search to find siding that would work on our house. While it took a little time, they did not give up. The crew that did all of the work were amazing and very thorough and went the extra yard on everything including the flashing, ice guard, drip edge, liner, and venting all to code and beyond. I had a particularly difficult area of transition from a dormer to a flat roof that has always caused issues. The team took extra care to work thru a better design of that area to shed water. Do ask for the foreman "Josh" and his team - he is extremely knowledgeable, detailed, and a very hard worker and leads a great team.
