Customers say: Quality work

"We needed a sump pump replacement because ours was on the fritz. After calling a few places and getting nowhere, we called Drain Kings. He came out the same day and got our new pump and installed it within a couple hours. Great customer service and great value for the money. We will definitely be using them again for other plumbing needs in the future."

"I signed up to have a modular log home built on an existing foundation. The builder had a number of specifications that needed to be met to get the foundation ready for the new house. I contacted 8 other companies, but no one could help me with my long list of tasks. When I finally got ahold of Highlander Waterproofing, I started by telling them I was a problem child. I listed all the work that needed to be done and Mike told me that nothing on my list sounded sounded scary. I got a couple of visits from Mario, the manager, and Mike, the senior engineer, and one of their senior job bosses. They were all knowledgeable, helpful, positive, and suggested that I use steel supports instead of concrete to save space. Work started in August when Dewey and JT started knocking off the top 2 courses of block. "The Gents" - Dewey (the job boss) Devon, Jimmy, Matt, and Dave - did wonderful work. Because of Murphy's Law, we had to knock some walls down and rebuild them because of bowing, and we ended up adding an internal French Drain. They set rebar, poured tons of concrete, dug footers, put up steel support beams, installed glass block windows, put down sill plates, and rebuilt the front where the garage doors will be. I cannot even begin to say how pleased I am with the work they did. And they were a lot of fun to boot! They let me video them daily, tease them mercilessly, and they had the good grace to laugh when my dog made off with their breakfast jerky. There is still some work to do when the house actually gets here in April - insulating the outside wall, backfilling, putting the sump pumps in, rebuilding the center wall, and digging footers for the porch. I have absolute confidence in Highlander Waterproofing and "The Gents." I would recommend them highly and with no reservations to anyone who needs foundation work. I will add to this post with the final pictures in April."

"We called and asked if someone could come by and provide an estimate to diagnose/repair some cracks/separation we noticed along our stairs and ceiling. We were fortunate enough to have Mitch Welliver assigned to our inspection! He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in describing his findings and providing us with some options. While here, I asked if they also installed sump pumps and, although this last minute ask likely made his visit to your home that much longer, he handled it like a true professional and never made us feel like it was an inconvenience. I’m truly grateful for the time he spent and various pricing options he was able to provide. That flexibility goes a LONG way and we now feel confident that choosing Baker’s was the right call!"

"The crew (Dan, Jim, and Ian) was very professional, and showed much attention to getting the details correct (solid air intake box, meticulous drain piping, replaced humidifier from old system, cleaned up everything). This was a difficult job because they had to replace old set lines in a tight town house, but they consulted me on solutions and we picked the best one. The work took longer than expected as a result, but the crew plugged on to get it right. Overall, they offered a fair price, detailed all services on the invoice, did great work on the installation, and so far after services (billing, answering questions, procuring air filters) has been good. I cannot say enough good things about Pat Berkheimer and her crew."

"Very good. I had called another company that advertises a $99 main cleanout, but when they arrived, there were all sorts of reasons why they couldn't do it and needed to charge $500. I sent them packing. Now the day was half shot, and I still had a problem. I checked some reviews here and found Drain Doctors was local so maybe they would have someone coming or going to their shop that could fix my problem. Sure enough, they were able to come out same afternoon and did a good job. The first attempt cleared the problem at 30-40 feet, but Brandon wanted to run the larger cutter down, and there were some problems getting it in the cleanout, which took some extra time meaning extra dollars. But he got the large cutter in and ran it out the full 100 feet, way past the tree in our front yard, so I know I'm good to go for a long time, and that was worth the extra time"

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Enola, PA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
