Items that they deem too expensive to fix are "replaced," i.e., you are offered an amount of money to purchase a new appliance, etc. If the offered amounted is not sufficient, I suggest that you make a reasonable counter offer based on your existing appliance's features, etc. Keep in mind, they are a business, just like any insurance company or health care provider, so they will look to serve you as cost effectively as possible."

"The technician did an excellent job. It did take a while to get the repair finished, but that was due to Bertazzoni delivering the parts. I have had multiple problems with this particular appliance. My range now works better than it did when new, but I have a feeling that even if I have continuing problems with it, American Home Shield will just repair rather than replace due to the cost of the range. By the way, I'm not exactly sure of the date of the repair."

Porch installed it relatively quickly and did a good job. Very personable. The installation cost for roughly an hours work was $178."
