So we called Mariusz at Jan's Fence for an estimate. We needed privacy fences on both sides of our unit's rear patio area. Jan's crew is so skilled that they finished both fences in under two hours! When I asked how they could do it so quickly, Mariusz grinned and replied "Years of experience." He and the crew anchored the fences into concrete that's poured underground. So the anchors are invisible. They're also so strong that the fences didn't need to be bolted to our unit's external wall. (That can be a real advantage in a condo community.) We've never experienced a contractor who is so responsive and precise in their pricing, scheduling, arrival and work... which is superb. You simply can't go wrong with them."

"OMG, I should have hired them earlier! I found O'Neil's on Angie's list when I realized I needed to hire someone to plow/shovel my driveway for the winter (I had had a c-section and newborn twins at the beginning of the winter and knew there was no way I could shovel and I had to hire someone dependable and responsive to make sure I could dependably get out of the house if I needed to over the winter). Skip was WONDERFUL! He was easy to set up the initial consultation with, paid attention to the idiosyncrasies of my driveway and steps to my house (including that much of the snow in my narrow driveway would need to be carried and dumped into my yard). His pricing was high, but, now that I've been through an incredible winter with his attention to detail, it's worth it to me. Everything I told him about where I'd like snow removed and where to dump it, he followed to the letter (including going above and beyond that by removing the snow from my mother's car). He was available by text during storms when I had questions about his estimated arrival time, and was friendly with my neighbors when everyone was trying to figure out where to dump snow after all of us ran out of room. Toward the end of the winter, he also modified how he was snowblowing my sidewalk and cut me an extra notch to fit my trash containers when I realized the snow drifts were making it too difficult to put trash out. And even though I said it was fine to pile snow against my house to make room for it all, Skip said, "I never like to pile snow on people's houses," and by god, even with feet of snow and nowehere to put it, he always managed to shovel it away from my house. Before using Skip's services, I always shoveled my own driveway, and since using him, I'm not sure I'd ever want to go back to doing it myself--he and his men did such a better job than I ever could (my neighbors are still talking about it in May--all of them were impressed by the job). And on top of it, he and his men were SO polite and friendly, it made these storms and a very, very stressful time in my life SO much easier. (My experience with "plow guys" before this had been the stereotypical angry looking men with a cigarette hanging out of their mouth while they ran over reflector stakes, leaving snow in front of garage doors--the men that would take care of my mom's driveway) so to find Skip who shows up at the door with a smile--even after hours of back breaking work--asking for my mom's car key's so they can do a thorough job of removing snow from the whole driveway and her car, was such a huge pleasure I can't even believe I was so lucky to find him (my mom is jealous and wishes she lived nearby so she could use him too!). And, to top it off, one evening he came inside to meet the new babies and was cute with them. If you're on the fence about the expense, the only thing I can say is that Skip will do EXACTLY what you ask him to do and he'll do it with a smile. And, if you need to reach him in the middle of a blizzard while he's plowing, he actually will text you back. Amazing. Seriously. Peace of mind and having my property taken care of and knowing I can get in and out of my house (and that he comes back to get that last pile of snow and ice the town dumps at the end of the driveway) is so much more than I could have asked for, he really made that aspect of this crazy winter SO much better for me, which truly is priceless. "From first meeting Josh and agreeing the scope of the project, the interaction and communication was seamless. We were informed on the plans for each step of the work and who was coming and when, they always followed through. This was a breath of fresh air compared to other contractors we had worked with in the past. Josh and his wife (a licensed contractor too) do a great job with the communication. Josh's team are professional and respectful. During the work on the bathroom an unrelated leak from a shower valve which occurred over a weekend. They were rapid in responding and we had the problem fixed with the help of their partner contractor Milne Plumbing within 48hrs.
