"My carpet looks much better than it did before, however I do have a couple of complaints. First let me start with the positives. They arrived right on time. I was given a window of 1-4 and they came at 1. The two technicians were so nice and so professional in their behavior and their communication. They put on shoe covers before they went upstairs (where the carpet is), and they made sure to take them off every time they went outside, and put them back on every time they came back in. I really appreciate that. The lead technician measured and gave me an estimate. There is one price per square foot for the room, and another price for the edges of the carpet. The price for the edges is triple the price for the rest of the room. They worked quickly and diligently. They moved all of the furniture around, even the heavy stuff, and cleaned behind everything. They left the furniture on hard foam risers to lift it off of the carpet. I don’t know how I’m supposed to lift the heavy dresser and bed to get the risers out but I will figure it out. When they were done the lead technician asked me if I wanted to check out their work but the carpet was still wet so I just took a glance up the steps and said it looks good so I’ll trust that the rest looks good too. When I finally went upstairs the rest of the carpet did in fact look good. Once it dried I noticed that there was a small stain that they didn’t get out but I can spot clean that. Also, there were a few little clumps left behind along the edges of the carpet and the stairs where the technician hand-scrubbed it but I guess all of the dirt he worked up didn’t get sucked up by the machine. My biggest problems are not with the carpet. So first of all, there was a disgusting clump of hair and dirt ON MY BED. It certainly wasn’t there before and I don’t know where it came from but I really just wish it wasn’t on my bed of all places. Also, there were little blue towels left on the bed that do not belong to me. I just don’t know why all this stuff was on my bed. There are multiple dressers and nightstands in the room. Why would they place their towels on the bed?? The carpets were clean but then I felt that my comforter was dirty and I had to wash it. Furthermore, there was something in one of my drawers that was out of the drawer when they finished. I am assuming that it fell out somehow when they were moving the furniture and they just left it out instead of putting it back, leaving me to wonder about it. Perhaps I could have asked the technician about all of that if I did a walk through with him, but I didn’t so I will take responsibility for that. Just a warning, do a walk through to make sure EVERYTHING looks kosher. However, some of these things I would not have seen until the carpet dried. A couple more things. The chemical smell was overwhelming and it made me sick. It turned my stomach and not in a figurative way. However, it is my fault for not opening the windows prior to the cleaning. After opening the windows and letting the house air out for 24 hours it was fine. This was the first time I got my carpets cleaned so I know for next time. Also after it dried, the rug felt kinda greasy, like there was still soap in it and it could use one more rinse. I suspect that may be normal though? Anyway the sticky, greasy soap feeling underfoot is getting better with time."

"The men from Olympic Upholstery came the day after I had placed my order. They said it would take about three weeks, which was fine with me. When they brought the chairs back, I was stunned at the difference. They were both absolutely gorgeous. The channel-back chair looks the best I have ever seen it. I vaguely remember it being a lovely gray silk when I was a child. This surpasses even that. My grandfather's rocking chair looks fabulous. Mr. Chris is such a nice man. He even made me a pillow for the rocking chair, since it has a hard wooden back. The wood had been refinished on both chairs, and the wood is now a lovely, rich dark wood, matching the original finish. The foot stool is fabulous also. I almost wish I had more items to upholster, because his work is so excellent. I can't say enough about how thrilled I am with the result."

"In 2006 we moved into a house with 12 year old carpeting in three bedrooms. Each year or so we'd try a different  method of professional carpet cleaning - some worked better than others, but none were able to completely remove the old stains. In addition, the new carpet we bought for the rest of the house  had gotten stains from stick pets and occasional spills, and the other methods we tried had only mediocre success. Last year we called Baltimore Steam Cleaners. They were a pleasure to work with, returning calls promptly, answering all my questions, explaining how their method was different and what they could do. I was able to schedule an appointment within a week, and they arrived promptly. They moved furniture carefully and used  plastic to protect it when they moved it back. They did an impressive job; all of the carpet looked great, the stains were out and there was no chemical smell or sticky residue. The price was even less than they'd estimated it would be. I was amazed. When one of the oldest stains started to reappear several weeks later, Tim and Dan returned the very next day to retreated it, and it's never come back again. We were very pleased with the outstanding job they did.  I had them back for the second time on October 7, and the carpet looks spotless.  I really like Tim and Dan, they do a fanstastic job. It's nice to support a local, family owned business, and this is one I can recommend without reservation."

Kris Sokalski arrived as promised and after a preview of the work needing done, he provided a written estimate with my choice of service packs 1 or 2. After making my choice, Kris got started preparing the areas indicated for cleaning. Kris moved all the furniture, put down wall corner protectors and leg protectors on all furniture. He then proceeded to start the cleaning process taking his time to insure all stains were removed and areas thoroughly cleaned. I was impressd with his attention to detail as well as all of his efforts to protect my furnishing. I will most certainly contact him agagin when I am in need of carpet cleaning. <br />"
