"We have had a problem with our main building drain line clogging once a year, every year, since we purchased our home 14 years ago. We had it cleared around Thanksgiving of 2022 and it was again blocked only 2 months later. Fed up, I wanted to understand what the exact problem was, and proceed with fixing it. Tim and I spoke at length and therein I explained the history behind the issue (including experience from rodding the line myself on previous occasions). Tim explained what he thought the problem might be, based on his experience, and discussed various options including firm costs (not the "well, it will cost somewhere between $5 and $50,000" BS). We talked for about 30 minutes whereas conversations with other plumbers usually lasted all of 3 minutes wherein they explained how much it would cost, how they expected to be paid, and when they could come out. Tim showed up promptly at the agreed-upon time with Pedro and the two of them went to work. Without going into details, those two spent approximately 4.5 hours working my issue during which time they mechanically rodded the line 5-6 times, ran a camera into the pipe following each rodding, and then hydro-jetted it twice (might have been three times and they inspected the line using the camera after each hydro-jetting as well). I paid extra for the hyrdo-jet but I knew that they would probably need to resort to this following our phone call and again, I understood going into it exactly what the cost would be. These guys really busted their tails (other plumbers were typically in and out in an hour or less) and from what I could actually see via the camera, Tim and Pedro appeared to fix the problem once and for all. I spent a lot of time with them (as an engineer, I am curious by nature) and I felt like there were times when they could have said "Yeah, good enough" but they would talk and say "yeah, we should really do [this] again." In summary, Tim and Pedro were very professional, VERY hard-working, and extremely thorough, and I received a service that I feel was far in excess of that provided by anyone previously. Tim is the only person that I will call in the future should I need this service again (but I doubt it!). Finally, there were not surprise or escalated costs. Fantastic experience! "I had a really bad shower and toilet clog so I decided to contact flo-maxx and they sent 2 professionals, Garret and Raymond to do the job but I wasn’t sure if they would be able to clear the drain, they definitely cleared it super quick and also cleaned my floor afterwards. They finally left but there was a small leak from the toilet water line and I called them and they came back again to check it and fix it, no big deal they did great! 10/10"

"Week before last we thought we had a clogged toilet.. It was apparently the main sewer line. We called a commercial franchise plumber out and $550 later we thought everything was fixed. This was on a Thursday. By the following Monday we were experiencing the same thing. We call them back out because it was a 6 month warranty. They diagnosed the issue stating we needed to get the main sewer line ( about 1-3 feet) replaced and they would need to dig a huge hole in the basement and etc.. Estimate was more than a small car. When I tell you I am so glad I called this man. My house is 70 years old and my family has lived here for 26 years. This sewer line was CLOGGED... his team dug the hole, replaced the pipes, cleaned them out and discovered tree roots and 4 feet of stuff that shall not be named. He & his team installed a cleanout in case this happened again we wouldn't have an issue getting it cleaned. This company hands down had excellent service and the owner was respectful, nice and delivered what he promised plus a 10 year warranty ."

"Brian and Frank did a great job clearing a clog on my main line. Brian walked me through the whole process from initial evaluation to the major unclogging and flushing and explained everything to me in easy terms without making me feel dumb. They did their best to be respectful of property, family members working and even pets. They were prompt and polite. The work was expensive, but Brian did his best to be fair. I would hire them again."

"When I arrived home on August 31st at around 10:30 pm. I noticed water leaking from my air conditioning unit and was damaging my hard wood floor already. "My sump pump float switch quit working overnight when it was raining and I woke up to a stinky, flooded crawlspace. Jan had me go down and take some photos to make sure he would send me an accurate quote for the work and parts, and after I sent the photos he gave me a call back and walked me through a few steps I could take to see if I could get the pump working and drain the water out before they came out for the repair, instead of just sending someone out and charging me for all the time that would take. Best of all, his advice worked and after draining the flood I was actually able to understand how the system worked and replace the switch myself. I did receive the quote for the work Vanguard would have done and it was clear, professional, and extremely fair (especially considering the location and condition of my sump pit). I felt that I was treated with a great deal of respect and courtesy, which was such a pleasant surprise it actually turned around how negatively I was feeling about the flood etc. I will 100% call them again for any work I need."
