"We hired Joe to install some electrical outlets and lighting upgrades in a few places in our house, garage and shop. He showed up on time, was friendly and respectful (wore a mask) and took the time to really understand not just what we wanted to do but why we were doing it. This actually led to some even better ideas than we originally had. Joe seemed to be very knowledgeable when it came to the options available and the codes that had to be followed. All the work was done at a reasonable price. We would definitely hire him again for any future electrical needs."

"We have been working with Switch Electric on various projects in our home since 2018. They installed our solar panels, our backup battery and have worked on electrical projects. Switch Electric is our go-to electrical company and we will continue using them in the future. It’s easy to get appointments, communication is great, and the people are wonderful."

"Mike and his team did a great job upgrade our electrical panel from 100A to 200A. They did a great job and we appreciate their work and effort. Mike is kind, professional and always willing to help. He has answered me lots of questions and make adjustments based on my request. The process goes smoothly and inspection passed without any doubt. And their price is the best (among the 3 companies I quote)! Would highly recommended them for anyone needs a panel upgrade or electrical work."

"Quality electrical work can be expensive, so it's hard to judge the value you get. Bottom line, the job was expensive but professionally done. I had two lights that suddenly stopped working and had no idea what the problem was. As with other companies, Seatown did have a charge to analyze and diagnose the problem, so there was no free estimate. They also inspected the whole circuit board and checked for compliance with current electrical codes and checked another electrical glitch. Taylor determined the problem and I had him replace the faulty GFI outlet and give me an estimate of cost of replacing the main circuit box. He also installed a new light fixture that I had purchased to replace the older fixture that I had damaged in attempting my earlier repair."

"R-Tech was awesome! Ken was right on time, fixed our electrical issue in about an hour, and his estimate over the phone was almost spot on when it came time to pay. Considering how the other two contractors home advisor recommended didn't even contact me, I would definitely higher R-Tech again for projects in the future."

"We hired In-House to upgrade wiring on our recently purchased home. The house is 110 years old and had only partial electrical upgrades. In-House got the job done on schedule and at a competitive price. They don't offer all the bells and whistles that some of the other folks out there offer with the fancy marketing packets about financing options and a quote generated instantly on the iPad (in fact, they write it out on paper with clear descriptions of the full slate of work in an easy to read format), but that extra stuff comes at an extra cost built in to their daily rates. That whole "full-service" option may be what some folks are looking for in terms of peace of mind, but for me, the primary goal was getting safe wiring upgrade completed by an experienced, licensed electrician in a reasonable time frame. In-House delivered on that and communicated well through the process, ensuring that our new house is safe and up to date."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Everett, WA

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
