"First of all, everything that turned out well is thanks to Gary who is marvel of roofing knowledge and straight talk. I talked with half a dozen roofers over the last year. Gary was the only one who had the expertise and the decency not to b.s. or overcharge us. An Honest Roofer! His company delivered the material and began work in less than two weeks from our initiating the project. The crew was efficient, completing the job on the first day. We required additional work to reinstall our gutter covers. Brian was sent over and he did a great job using some replacement covers and some original ones. Worked out great. I mention this because Gary said that any issues with the gutter covers would be theirs and that everything was covered. And it was! If you don't hire these guys, it will be your loss. By the way, the Class 4 Malarkey synthetic shingles are rated against damage with hail up to 4.5 inches. Nice product, great company!"

Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with Mr. Brian Dewald and Red Diamond Company. The office called us several times to make sure everything was in place. They did a great job removing and installing the roof. Also, they installed all new boots on the pipes and roof ventilation, and painted pipes and vents with similar color of roof. "I decided to use Advanced Exteriors to replace the roofing and gutters on my patio roof. I choose Advanced Exteriors over other roofers based on Angie's List reviews and the warranties (both materials and labor). The quality of work appears to be very good. I'm happy with that work. I am disappointed with the sales and office staff. The roof work was performed on June 15, the siding was not completed for almost a week later. The siding specialist came and left after a few minutes and then never came back. When the bill came I told them I wouldn't pay until work is complete and the siding and gutter work is not yet complete. A few days later the siding was completed. Unfortunately as of July 5 the gutter work is still not done. Apparently the sales guy didn't put my house on the gutter schedule and I am on hold for now. Communication was poor. I never knew when or if someone would come by. Or when I was told someone would come by they were either early or late. But the invoice sure comes with regularity. :-)"

The communication was very responsive and thorough, as I had a lot of questions on the estimate, insurance options, roof materials, and the whole process. I walked around the roof after, and found the roof, flashing, and overall work to be quite impressive. Little things like covering all exposed nail heads with silicone was nice to see. Also, the work crews cleaned up my yard better than expected. Heartland was very responsive when I showed them some slight damage to my front porch rail, from wind knocking over the roofing crews ladder, and they sent a repair guy who fixed it.
