"strongly recommend never using Home Genius Exteriors (HGE) for any home project. What was promised as a simple 1?2 day roof replacement turned into a 7-day ordeal filled with delays, poor communication, and lack of accountability. There was little to no communication from the project manager or crew. Some days no one showed up; other days, work progress was minimal. The condition they left our property in was unacceptable?nails scattered throughout the yard, debris and cigarette butts left behind, creating a serious safety hazard for my family and pets. One of us even stepped on a nail. Despite repeated attempts to get answers, follow-up has been lacking. We were told management would contact us, but weeks later, nothing. The compensation offered was inadequate. This experience was frustrating, unsafe, and completely unprofessional."

During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. The owner, Stephen Smith, and eight key employees had all worked for the largest window and siding company in Central Virginia and had a combined experience of over 170 years in the home improvement field. We all had learned that just selling a quality product was not enough. Even the best product is not satisfactory if it is not installed properly. We pride ourselves on the very best window and siding installers who only work for us. It is much more cost effective to do the job right the first time. Much of our business is obtained by referrals from our satisfied customers. We do have a service department, because some things are unavoidable such as glass breakage. When service is required, we do it in a timely fashion. We are proudly celebrating our 15 year anniversary.

"After two failed General Contractors I brought Rez Electric on-board to add a screened-in porch on the third level of my home. Rob and his Team immediately and showed me problems with the new build as well as the existing structure. Due to exceptionally poor workmanship on both the new and original structure, it took almost two years and a lot of money to complete the renovations. Rob and his Team were diligent, provided high-quality work and NEVER GAVE UP! At the end of the day, Rez Electric practically rebuilt our home including, but not necessarily limited to, framing, all new windows and doors (including sliders), all new siding (cement board), new front and rear porches and a new patio, new flat roof-top decks, new lighting, millwork, whole-home generator, dry-wall work and painting (interior & exterior) - plus an awesome screened in porch (the original project!). Rob also coordinate the addition of gutters, landscaping and fencing. He remained in constant contact, initiated and returned phone-calls, emails and texts. He always check to see if we were satisfied. Rob and his Team restored my faith in contractors."
