"Jon help me replaced 2 old 50 Gallon water heaters with tankless water heaters. He was professional and punctual from providing detailed no nonsense estimates (without any membership and subscription fees attached to it) to getting things installed exactly the way he explained you before. I highly recommend him for any plumbing needs. Thanks Jon."

"I was disappointed that the company sent out two different crews to do the work especially because the charged me 130 just to ignite my water heater which needed to be done along with installing the shut off value. Then they wanted to charge me 250 for a shut off value, which is outrageous and another 250 to install a new faucet outside. again outrageous. I may have been able to overlook that if they had saved me the 130 to ignite the water heater. but they didn't. So I decided to find a more reasonable plumbing company to do the other projects."

"Partridge plumbing, Shane, is absolutely amazing. I have had multiple plumbers over last few years and had price gouging to no-shows. Shane is fabulous! During winter freeze i had 13 pipes split. Shane showed up within a day and had me up and running in less than 3 hrs!! He communicated until he arrived with ETA and was prompt returning once had insulation material. He is extremely efficient and knowledgeable and a local resident. I found him recommended on moms facebook group with 8 families praising his name. Give him a call and save his number for all your needs!!! You will never have to wonder about honesty or integrity!"

"Bryan and the Watermark Plumbing team are amazing! He replaced the water heater, garbage disposal, and installed a new toilet. Every time, he is professional, polite, and explains plumbing issues for the plumbing ignorant home owner. He has saved me thousands of dollars by providing an honest opinion. Bryan is a true professional, knows a ridiculous amount about plumbing, and is very clear about repairs and repair costs. The customer service team at Watermark is always available to help, and they schedule your visit at your convenience. You even receive a photo of the person who will do the work, and a short biography. I will not search for other plumbers to work on our home. I will always call Watermark and ask if Bryan is available to help. Bryan at Watermark is the best!"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Fort Worth, TX

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
