Not only was I expecting him to refinish my hardwood floors, I was asking him to come in and work miracles to repair the damage done by another contractor who had a damaged machine created wavy distortions to my floors. Lou made them look beautiful again! He was very honest about what he could and could not make perfect and his work always exceeded my expectations. Lou was careful to keep his work area very clean, cleaned up after himself daily and protected my other living areas by sheeting off the rooms he was refinishing. The final finish is so beautiful, with four coats of satin urethane, I think they look better than the factory finish. I would highly recommend Lou to anyone in need of hardwood flooring installation or refinishing."

This work included the removal of existing carpeting and the installation of oak hardwood floors in six rooms (approximately 1,600 square feet). My prerequisites were for the installation to include mahogany border / inlay wood in a great room to match the existing border in the dining room, and the undercutting of the baseboard versus the quarter round used by many other companies. This inlay included a double interlocking square pattern in the middle of the room. The design and installation came out beautiful. The four bedrooms upstairs were completed over two different periods allowing for us to clear out two rooms at a time and letting the three coats of polyurethane to properly cure. The upstairs had an existing hardwood flooring in the hallway, which Cliff’s team cut back to weave in the new flooring and then refinish. This came out seamlessly and to look at the finished product would leave you to believe it had been all installed at the same time. Cliff’s pricing is very competitive, he and his team showed up on time for both segments of the project and the quality of the work is outstanding.
