"????? If I could give zero stars, I would Hiring this contractor was a nightmare from start to finish. The bathroom they delivered is so poorly done that I feel like I need to redo it entirely. They rely on subpar subcontractors with no professionalism or craftsmanship. ? Overpromise and underdeliver: I had to stay on top of every detail myself, doing the job the contractor was hired to manage. ? Unreliable: Never kept appointments or confirmed schedules. The only time they showed up on time was to collect payment. ? Unsafe practices: At one point, a subcontractor was cutting concrete inside the bathroom with a gas?powered tool, filling my entire home with smoke. I had to intervene to stop it and argue just to get basic protections like tarps in place. ? Poor management: Subcontractors openly complained about not being paid, and I even had to send one home myself because of unacceptable behavior. ? End result: Substandard work that does not reflect the money spent. Save yourself "

Joe arrived on the date agreed and was very punctual, He first explained very clearly the process that he was using and how effective it would be in preventing water from entering my basement through this crack in the foundation. He then proceeded with his work and did so quickly and efficiently leaving no mess behind. I am thoroughly impressed with A-1 and wholeheartedly and highly recommend their high quality services. "The wind had blown off our chimney cap. It was still in good shape and just needed someone to climb on the roof and put it back on. Other companies gave me a song & dance about how it needed to be replaced ($400), it was more complicated than it looks, has come take a look before giving a firm price, blah blah blah. Ed was no-nonsense, quoted me a reasonable price over the phone for such a simple job ($100), and got the job done the next day. No BS. A year later, it's still snug and tight. I'm happy."

"Use this company if you want sub par service, excuses, and resulting work that could damage your leaching field. Worker showed up in 2024 without tools to remove cover properly. Was actually going to use a shovel to pry open a cover that required a drill bit. Fast forward to 2026 and found that the septic technician never locked the zabel filter in place. Two years without a filter. Take your chances with them if you want. I will never return as a customer."
