"Time consuming but worth it. They understood Ann Arbor's local ordinances better than any other bidder, and were the most competitive bidder (if not by much, but they still were the lowest bidder). They made multiple trips to ensure the estimate was accurate and took pains to find a fencing solution that would comply with Ann Arbor's convoluted rules, yet be both functional and aesthetic. Multiple install trips as well, to deal with tree removal issues and weather problems. Final installed fence is beautiful. We likely will follow up because the locks installed on the two gates installed are proving difficult to manage, but I fully expect this issue to be resolved satisfactorily. (We have not yet contacted them about this, so it's not their fault that this issue remains unresolved - it's been a complicated year for us and, having worked with them, we trust in their ability to resolve this concern later. If we are wrong about this, we'll follow up on our review.) We found Upright Fence through Angie's List, and it was a good recommendation. We would do it all again exactly as it happened if given the option. We are so relieved to have the old, collapsing wooden fence removed and a new, vinyl fence - properly installed along the lot boundaries. Our thanks to the Upright team...we can understand why they've been in business so long. Experience does indeed count for something."

"The project went very smoothly and quickly from quote to finished fence. Tony responded within hours to my request for a quote. He gave many fencing options with the ability to see the options at South Lyon Fence Co., Inc. The product took approximately 3 weeks to manufacture and deliver. The fence was installed in two days. I knew that Tony's schedule would fill up fast, so I contacted him in early April to get a place reserved on his list."

"The whole process went wonderfully. Rachel fielded all the set up questions and and logistics wonderfully. We had Joel come to the house and draw us up a plan for our deck which is a raised deck (2nd story on the back of the home). The drawing was simple and plain just like we requested and yet very detailed. Once the install started, everything went really quick. The holes went in well, a very good and quiet crew got that all situated quickly which was not easy given the huge bolder they ran into and the solid clay that is my back yard. The framing crew came in and got the framing done in a day and a half or so. The final crew installed everything else in about 2 and a half days or so. There are no breaks in the surface boards, making for a completely clean and elegant surface. Everything is flush and straight. The stairway is well lit and solid. The framing is solid, we had 8 people up there and it doesn't shake even the slightest bit. The final touches are routed, smooth and pieced together perfectly. All the miter joints are perfect as well. The individual crews did all of this in about a week with a rain delay one day and me asking questions the ENTIRE time. Every crew kindly answered all my questions and Joel our sales rep did the same ensuring everything went well throughout the process and passed inspection. Joel even fixed the smallest detail when a cord for the lights wasn't quite covered perfectly. The deck is perfect, its added value and functionality to my home, never mind that it looks fabulous. Best of all, I will never need to take care of the deck given its care free materials. Perfect purchase and a perfect install. Thank you Lars David"

"Many years ago my late husband worked for a fence company, so I know all the problems that customers can face, and the excuses they can be given. I was in town for a limited amount of time (3 weeks), and yet they managed to complete the entire job in plenty of time. All the workers- on the ground, salesman, and woman in the office were so very helpful and professional. When I had to call back to get the gate adjusted, they were back out here the next day. Neighbors have already said how nice it looks.
