"

I came in and I was in distress one evening and they told me they could be out first thing in the morning. And they were! Very reliable!

The pricing was great.

That's my plumber! I've always used them for my well pump but I am thinking of using them in the future for plumbing. I had someone else put in my heat pump and they offer a maintenance server where they come out twice a year check on everything you get a discount on any work that needs to be done. Even though I have been using them for the heat pump since I had it installed, since seeing the guy who worked on the well pump, I would rather him do the work in my house!

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Blair Exteriors replaced several wooden windows in my 80 year old home with Wincore vinyl windows and did a phenomenal job. The crew arrived on time, got the job done in a reasonable amount of time and then cleaned up after themselves. The windows and trim look great. Further, the price I was invoiced for at the end of the job was exactly what was quoted to me at the outset of the project. I am planning to replace the rest of the windows next year and will definitely be using Blair again."

"I called JD and he came over that afternoon and looked the projects
over. He called me back with the estimate within an hour. After I gave
him the go ahead and the agreed up front money he told me when he would
start. He started on time and did a very good job. There were a couple
of things that we had not specifically discussed, such as putting some
extra support under one end of the deck, which was needed,  that he did
without me asking and without charging extra.  I am very satisfied with
his work and am already lining up the next project for him.
JD is a really nice guy and is easy to work with.

"A painter was at my house and I told him I had a plumbing issue. He suggested Chet Smith with Lords Drain Care and Remodeling. The painter called and Chet came when he said he would. Chet removed the siding and discovered a nail in the copper tubing. He fixed the hole and replaced the siding. We also asked him to quote on some other work as he does remodeling as well - his prices were much better than anyone else we asked, so we will be calling him when we can afford to do so.

"They installed all the pipes outside the building. They did a good job except that a lot of the workers stood around. They did a good job overall it was a lot of trouble but it wasn't their fault."

"Excellent service! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Over the years, I've had several home appliance warranty companies. Without question, Complete Appliance Protection is the best one I've ever contracted with. Their monthly price is a little higher than most, but I do have their best protection plan with $0 deductible. You get what you pay for..."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Fayette, AL

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
