"Kudos to Ron and his crew! My 36 year old cedar deck was beginning to show some wear...a number of the boards were getting soft spots and needed to be replaced. On a Monday, Ron came out and power washed it, examined the deck's condition and gave me an estimate of what it would take to make the repairs. On Friday, his crew was here and began the work. They spent the day, until 10:00 at night (I had to turn on the lights on the deck so they could see what they were doing), completing the repairs."

"They did a really good job and they stand behind their work. The prices are competitive and they take pride in their work. I had a really old front door that was not insulated and they put in a new one with plenty of insulation. They also put in a new storm door and a garage side door that meant making a new doorway that's sealed properly. They answered all my questions and were respectful of the property"

"I did not know there was still a company around like J.Thomas Construction in Grand Blanc. I was repairing a few steps on my deck when I ran into a little problem. I went to 3 lumber yards with the old wood to have them cut the 2 pieces that were needed for each step. 1 piece was not as wide as the other, but no one would rip to the size I had to have. So I called 1 of those companies that recommend trade people. I called 1 on thelist and was embarrassed to ask them if they did small jobs. I sent Jason, the owner, a picture of my job. I actually thought he was going to laugh at me and tell me he couldnâ t help me.. He told me he was finishing a job but would stop on his way home and take a look. The job he was finishing was many many thousands of dollars he told me when he got to my house and showed me the picture of the job and a few others his company had done. They were amazing!! I showed him my project of 3 little step pieces of wood. He went to his vehicle, got his saw walked around to the back of my condo and ripped the wood. It took him 5 minutes. Jason was friendly, smiling and very professional in manner and ability. I wonâ t tell you how much he asked for, for payment because it would cause a rush on his already full schedule. If you are looking for a new deck or a repair on your current deck, I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed. I promise you, I donâ t know Jason, never met him before 2;30pm today, but if I ever need deck work again, I will call him!!! David, Grand Blanc"

"Easy to work with. Excellent quality workmanship & work ethic. Flexible in schedule as was I, so we got on VERY well. Always felt safe & comfortable with them in & around my home - not a shady char. in the bunch! They even handled a few little "side job" repairs at very reasonable price. I was delighted to learn they do more than just decks, so I will be hiring them again for some future projects I have in mind. Was happy to find somebody who considered my budget as well as his own. Also very pleased that they kept their work area cleaned at the end of each day, & minimized any damage to my yard/landscaping. Also noted they followed safety rules for my protection as well as their own. I can't say enough good things about this group. Actually I thought I did say al these good things about Bear Builders right after they finished up last fall, but I guess my customer review must have gotten eaten by the "cyber zombies" or otherwise disappeared. In short, I don't see how you can go wrong if you hire Bear Builders for things in their repertory of services. I am very happy to have found somebody as easy to work with like Bear Builders."
