Small jobs welcome

"Bob Short and his crew designed the driveway/pavers, drainage, retainer wall, firepit, patios, and grading needed for our new house and construction. Bob handled coordinating Jeff Brown of Chesapeake, and even in a year of excessive rain, they delivered what they promised. In fact, when we drove down our 800 feet driveway, we were pleasantly surprised to see our driveway pavers containing our Last name letter monogrammed within. Bob and his crew over-delivered. As in most things, you get what you pay for and you forget over time what things cost but you are reminded daily of quality."

Small jobs welcome

"I'm so pleased with the deck and fence Tim installed. This project involved removing an old fence and deck and completely replacing. Other than a bit of a delay because of waiting for the city to inspect, which is beyond the contractor's control, the work went very quickly. Great job with cleanup."

"Kevin was great to work with. His crew that was assigned to do our patio arrived promptly each day and were the nicest guys to work with. They cleaned up each day and made certain the property was left in good condition. We are pleased with the patio installation and would highly recommend them. They will be back in the fall to do some additional work for us as we will use them for all our landscaping needs moving forward."

"Green World responded to my request for Fall clean-up within minutes. The owner was at my home within the hour. The next day the Green World crew performed the clean-up in outstanding fashion. The price persuaded us to share our intentions for hiring the same crew for the Spring! Thank you Joel and Green World crew!!"

"We decided to commit with East Coast Patios after seeing their work at a good friends home. Our friends only have the best contractors for their home improvements. We were able to choose any texture, color and shape of the pavers displayed in the catalogue at the same price. The cost of the entire project was competitive and included managing any obstacles such as moving sprinkler heads and underground down spout extensions. The cold weather conditions did not matter as Juan and Gregorio stayed on schedule to recreate our front porch and lay down the path to our newly erected trash/recycling storage shed. We have a durable and attractive front door patio, a path with garden border and bin storage that adds curb appeal and utility to our home."

Customers say: Terrific value

"The company was prompt. The guy who did all the work , did an outstanding job, was not a bothersome person, did not even accept water or a beverage, as he was concentrating on getting the job done, and he did it well."

Customers say: Quality work

"Several friends highly recommended H.O. Miller Builders, and Iâ m very glad they did. I had areas on my home where the siding and windows needed to be replaced due to water damage. Glen and his crew identified the problem areas and did a great job of replacing the cedar siding, trim and windows. I would certainly recommend them and plan to continue to use them for future projects."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Fenwick Island, DE

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
