"Peter was great to work with and very accommodating to our requests. He quickly arrived at our house, designed a special gate for our driveway (we were very picky about how the gate should be built and how it looked) and emailed an estimate promptly afterward. Due to the excessive rain beyond anyones control that spring they were unable to start right away, which we understood. However, Peter kept us updated regarding when his team would be able to start. Once they arrived to begin work Peter and his team made quick work of the fence posts on day one and the pickets and gate the next day. Despite how fast they worked both the fence and gate are very sturdy. About one year later we had some trouble with the caster on the gate. One phone call to Peter and the issue was fixed. We are very happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone looking for a fence or gate, especially if you want a special request."

"I got multiple bids for this job.  Metro Fence was the 2nd lowest, initially.  Another guy (Chism Fence, which was well-reviewed on Angie's list, but actually gave up on the work because he said he just couldn't find the time to complete it, and issued me a partial refund, the hardware but not labor), gave me the lowest bid.  Matt Chism had been stringing me along for a month, and I found out that he actually bought the materials from Metro Fence that he was going to use.   <br /> I called Metro back and asked if they could complete the job for their initial quote minus the cost of the materials I bought from them through Chism.  I was kind of desperate to get this done at this point because it was mid-winter and I was tired of taking a new dog out 4 times a day in the extreme cold. <br /> Metro flatly said that they would not deduct what I paid for the materials from the quote.  They said that they have a minimum they charge, and can't go below that for a job.  They apparently can't comprehend that the materials I bought from them that will be used for this job should be deducted from this job.  I ended up paying about $150 MORE than their initial quote to finally get the job done. <br /> They were a couple weeks later than promised, and did not honor my request to let me know when they were going to be there to do the work. <br /> Finally, they left the dirt from the post holes spread around in random piles, making for a lot of mud in the rain and killing the grass underneath.  I happened to stop home for lunch the day their unannounced install was taking place, and asked about the dirt then.  The workers stated that it is Metro's policy to just kick the dirt around and spread it out.  Seems pretty unprofessional to me to make a big, potentially destructive mess and not include clean-up in the deal. <br />"

"Communication was a little difficult, and we needed to reschedule because of the weather, but overall things went well. Not top quality -- One section is a little out of level; I discovered after he was done that the gate needed to be a little farther off the ground, since it was catching in the gravel in the walkway. Overall, still good work, but not "A" quality."

"Job was done well. Owner arrived promptly to discuss the job, provide options and provide estimates. Installation experienced a bit of delay due to holidays and weather - which can be expected. Removal of old fence and installation of new took place over 3 days. Job site was left clean each day and at the end. I replaced a white wooden picket fence with white aluminum Kestral picket. I’ve gone from maintenance nightmare to maintenance free! The new fence looks beautiful and I’m already getting lots of compliments."
