"On a Tuesday night during a large wind and rain storm, my roof over my mud room began leaking rain water through our light fixture and into the ceiling in our kitchen. We had around 16-18 buckets of water that night. I knew damage had occurred, and although I dont typically place a claim with my insurance company, I knew this was obviously a time that I needed too. My claim representative was going to stop by on Friday to take a look and because another day of heavy rain was coming soon, I knew I needed someone to help with a Tarp and plans to repair the roof, so I placed a message on HomeAdvisor.com and Angieâ s list. I contacted around 4 roofers in the area. I knew that I could Tarp the roof myself, but I thought that taking the risk was just not worth it. I felt it was wiser to lean on someone with experience in that area, to be safe. On Friday morning, Zack from Skyline Construction Group called me. He said, he could stop by and help by first placing a tarp on my roof at no cost to me. I explained to him that a Claim Rep, would arrive around 12:00 and he said, He would also provide any support he could during the review of the damage, by arriving while the claim rep. was here. He said, having a contractor during that time can really help. No one else contacted me that morning, but Zack, so I agreed he should come. He also felt confidant that based on my description of the damage, that insurance would likely help on the roof costs. It was clear to me during our talk over the phone, that he had plenty of experience and to me at this time, I needed exactly just that. Zack arrived at 11:30 and reviewed my roof. He was very professional, kind and explained everything to me. I signed a basic agreement allowing work to be completed by Skyline Construction Group, that the insurance would cover, whether repairs or complete roof replacement. My claims agent arrived and began surveying the damage. It did not take long and Zack alerted me while the claims rep. was still reviewing my roof that, my whole roof would be covered, except that Id have to pay a deductible on my insurance and any smaller costs that were not covered under my plan/insurance. I felt that was quite fair. What Iâ ve learned after working with Zack and Skyline Construction Group , is that .. They tell you the facts. They know what they are talking about because they have the experience to back it up. They follow through with what they say. They also handle much of the paperwork involved with the insurance process which is an added benefit of working with them. My experience has been nothing but positive. Zack represented the company very well and I appreciate all their help in this process!"

"Pro line construction Kind, smart and efficient. Initial evaluation was thorough and actually went up on the roof to see the problem area, then fully explained. It's a relief to see an owner on site, in work clothes - beware the ones with shiny shoes, fancy car and a clip board! Not these guys - very professional. While on site, Tony looked around and noted 3 other issues. With no extra cost to me, he put back siding that was loose or had fallen off; repaired the wood rot around an upper window and replaced new aluminum molding to exactly match the adjacent window; and repaired my very leaky sky lite. I'm always impressed when a professional repair person can't leave a job without the premises being perfect even though it wasn't part of the immediate problem... and they come with fully equipped trucks for every job! "Roof was 25 years old and was due for replacement. I also had old LP fiberboard siding that needed replacing in some sections mainly the chimneys. The rest was ok and I couldn't see spending the money to replace it all. George Keller did a terrific job on the roof and worked with me to match the LP siding using James Hardie siding. Carl the estimator took his time gave me a detailed estimate with pictures showing all the sections of siding that would be replaced. George Keller had done other houses in our neighborhood and one neighbor, an architect, used them, so that speaks to their reputation. I would highly recommend them. They are very efficient and neat and will finish your job in a day or two."

"My issue was water running down between the exterior and interior wall.  The contractor diagnosed the cause as frost getting in under old roof shingles that needed to be replaced.  Old roof was less than 20 years old and was only one layer deep.  The other part of the issue was poor insulation in the attic.  The recommended solution was to replace the roof on house and install an air vent and blow insulation into the attic.  Replace the roof on the garage was incidental since they were going to be there anyway but was not considered a part of our problem or our solution for the water.    
The steps were:

•  - Remove the entire shingled roof and a portion of the plywood that got wet.
•  - Blow insulation into the attic through the opening created by removing the plywood to avoid having to go through the house.
•  - Install new state of the art roof with barrier and shingles.
•  - Replace garage roof
•  - Replace trim around house and garage.

All the work went as planned for the insulation, house roof, vent and trim.
The garage roof presented more challenges.  The trim was put on in two pieces, because "they did not have the right trim cutter to use on piece".  Nails were placed all over the trim and looked very unprofessional.  House walk around also showed issues with the finishing touches on the main roof but mostly the garage.  That was a bit frustrating since we only did the garage because they were there anyway, arrugghh.
One call to the Company and our Salesman was back at the house, reviewed our photos and did a walk around as well.  Within one week all the issues were resolved.  I was pleasantly surprised that the issues were addressed so quickly and completely.  Good company that clearly takes customer satisfaction to heart.  I believe that any contractor will have issues with customer expectation compared to work performed.  The real test of a quality contractor is how they mitigate those issues.  Acorn did a very good job in this regard.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for work on their roof or insulation.
