"First of all, I used Patrick and his crew last Fall to fill in an outdated koi pond.  They did an excellent job so knew at that time I would continue working with them.  They always call ahead, always on time and an extremely efficient and friendly group to work with.   <br /> <br /> They removed the old out-dated shrubbery along the entire front length of my home.  Removing the roots after cutting down.  This left a clean slate in which they planted 14 appropriate size bushes which will do well in the full southern exposure.  No clipping involved as they get larger which I had to do with the older bushes. They also planted close to 100 liriope plants.  3" of mulch was added to cover this area.  My brick walk had many sunken bricks and a rusted metal paver was raised out of the ground which was suppose to hold the bricks in the walkway from sliding around.  Patrick and his crew removed the metal strip, installed the correct plastic locking pavers and redid most of the bricks which are now even and safe. It looks beautiful and neighbors have added their approval.  Completely different picture compared to what I had to deal with before.  He knows his stuff!!! <br /> <br /> Will continue working with this group.  Tops on my list and I have had many contractors to know."

"Hired ZR Landscaping to rebuild a retaining wall with paver patio that was poorly installed just four years earlier by another contractor. Zach diagnosed poor drainage behind the wall as the reason the wall base was washing out. Zach had a detailed, competitively priced written proposal to me in under 24 hours. He offered to reuse some of the existing blocks to reduce the total cost. Our project was scheduled just a few weeks out, not months out like a couple other contractors had proposed. The crew was punctual and very hard-working for a solid four days. Crew leader Julio answered all our questions and kept us informed through of each level of the new installation. Zach came back by himself to see the completed project, answer a few questions and make sure we were satisfied."

"John Squires is very responsive, professional, and courteous. During the week between Christmas and New Years, we needed a new contractor ASAP for a house we were about to close on and we did not hold out much hope for finding someone on short notice during the holidays. John called us back shortly after we left him a message and agreed to meet with us the next day at the property. The next day, John spent a lot of time with us going through the entire house, pointing out issues that were previously not brought to our attention. He also offered creative ideas for making the space work with careful consideration to our budget. Further, being two women, we are wary of every new male contractor as we have experienced numerous contractors and handymen to be condescending and patronizing (lots of "darlin&apos;" and "honey" and an inability to realize that we know what we are talking about and are not inexperienced or naive about home restoration). John was the opposite, deliberating with him on the house was like talking with a close male friend that respected you and saw you as an equal. We even felt comfortable enough to share with him that we appreciated and noted his approach and manner. As mentioned before, John was very thorough in his assessment of the house and pointed out issues that others had missed. For instance, he pointed out a panel of asbestos in the second story that the person we had paid to assess the house for asbestos had missed. He also pointed out how the foundation had been compromised in a few places in the crawlspace where the current owners had begun digging out the space to convert it into a basement. Ultimately, we pulled out of the contract on the house, so we have not yet been able to work with John on construction. However, John&apos;s assessment and insights into the house partly informed our decision to back out of the deal and in hindsight know it was the right thing to do. Without John&apos;s perspective, we may have moved forward with the purchase and regretted it later. We are now looking for a different property in Asheville and will absolutely be working with John in the future."
