"I'm a relatively new homeowner, so after a storm damaged my roof, I had no idea how to get my roof repaired or how to navigate the home insurance claim nightmare. My friend's husband told me he had worked with the company previously and knew that the company had good people, does good work, and is trustworthy. I'm happy to say that he was 100% right. Initially, my home insurance company only wanted to pay to replace a few shingles on my roof, but American Custom Contractors advocated on my behalf, and we were able to get the home insurance to replace my whole roof! There was months of back and forth with the home insurance company, but American Custom Contractors really allayed my anxiety during this whole process. In fact, everyone I met and spoke to at the company knew exactly what they were doing and were polite and professional. I felt like I was in good hands during the entire process. I'm happy to say my roof is now brand new and beautiful. I highly recommend American Custom Contractors for their superb customer service and high quality work."

Walls needed more repairs than we saw. They did a fantastic job repairing where wall paper had been removed before, taking their time to get the paint lines right. "<p>After my terrible experience with George's Painting, I had called Mike Rafferty and some other painters. Mike had called and had set up a date for an estimate. The other painters either were booked up or just didn't want to do the job because my house was built around 1926.  Mike came out and went over what I needed to have completed but he even gave me quotes, if I didn't want to have everything completed at one time, so after going over the plan and the price, I was sold. The bonus was that Mike could start the job in two weeks, the day after labor day. Mike and his crew came by just as expected and had completed the job the same day, which I was amazed but more important the work was Awesome, this was no small job folks, but Mike completed it and also did a couple of  favors for me as well, so needless to say his customer service far exceeded what I had expected. He does have one retouch to do but to be honest it may take him about 15 minutes and that is all. My wife and I are very excited about the job, Mike and his crew completed and again I must reiterate the price was fair, the job again was Awesome, plus the clean up after the project had been completed was the icing on the cake. "The whole job went great. Terry was quick to reply upon initial contact, and was out shortly thereafter to provide an estimate--which was a great value in our opinion. Once work started, as projects go, there were a few things that came up along the way, which we were completely prepared for, as our house does not have an attic, and we assumed that there would be some things that were identified once the ceiling was breached. Terry and his crew handled everything they came across with professionalism and made sure we were walked through and shown everything that was recommended to correct. "I initially contacted Jardine's Painting through the contact form provided on Angie's list, and David Jardine promptly responded by email to begin discussions about what work was needed. David and his colleague then visited my home and prepared an estimate based on our discussion. Let me say at the outset that my home presents some unique challenges for any exterior work because it is situated on a steep wooded slope and portions of the house are not easily accessible. Other painters I talked with expressed reservations about taking on the job. But David and his colleagues seemed to view the job differently -- they saw an opportunity where they could use their expertise and creativity to achieve an outstanding result. I was impressed with the enthusiasm and can-do attitude that they expressed during our initial consultation -- this was an important factor in selecting them to do the work. I was very pleased with the way that they approached every aspect of the job from that point forward. I was concerned about making the right color choices, and David was courteous and helpful in discussing all options with me. In fact, he even designed a custom color mix for the garage door that complements the exterior stain beautifully. I had previously thought that perhaps the garage door needed replacement, but now it looks new. All of the other staining and painting tasks undertaken for this job were also very well done. For example, I had recently had sections of the siding replaced with new wood, and other sections were etched from vines that a former owner had allowed to grow on the siding. David and his crew managed to make everything look uniform and you cannot tell that either of these former issues ever existed. I would also like to state that David and his crew were courteous and professional in every way. They took the time to discuss various options of the work with me. They were also considerate of the fact that I had pets in the home and they were very careful to not let them outside. They cleaned up thoroughly at each point along the way and were very respectful of my home. In summary, I think that the house looks beautiful with its new exterior staining and paint job, and I could not be happier with the work that Jardine's Painting did. "We orginally hired a painter from the local newspaper that provided an estimate, and agreed on a start date of 2/1/2010 at 9:00 am. We removed all the furniture from the room the night before into our dining room. This painter did not show up, bother to call, or answer our calls. We found Mr. Nelson on Angies list later that afternoon and he responded immediately to give us an estimate and was here at 7:00 the very next morning. He was very polite, professional and we are more than pleased with the quality of his work. We truely appreciate his quick response."

"Freddy Zeller of Whitetail Home Improvements was quick in giving an estimate and scheduling the work, which was just under a week from the first contact. The estimate was very reasonable compared to other contractors. The work went well and I was pleased with overall job. The end result was professional looking.  Nit-picking, there was a couple of pieces that were a little long in measurement and there was a few small pieces of scrap and nails left which amounted to less than a handful.
