"So-so experience. Job was bid and performed in the depths of the recession - I think he priced it so low that he needed to cut corners. Plus: did job quickly, when scheduled. Old roof was removed with only medium amount of mess. New roof went on OK. He did an OK job installing a skylight in the new roof. Minus: He reused the old gutters, which I would not recommend anyone else do - they were pretty battered by the time they had been removed and replaced. Some of them still don't drain right. Here's the worst part: on the last day, one of his guys fell off the roof. My wife was in the dining room and saw him bounce off our back stairs and land on the grass. Fortunately, he didn't seem to be badly hurt, as he ultimately landed on boggy grass. However, Scheinfeld, when told about this, took more than an hour to show up, and the injured worker called us a few days later asking for our homeowner's policy info, thinking that we would be paying for his medical care - can you believe it? I run a small business and am very familiar with the concept of Workmen's Comp - no telling what was going on between Scheinfeld and his workers, but something seemed to be very, very wrong. A couple of our gutters still don't drain right, despite several calls to have them adjusted. But the roof no longer leaks."

"Marty, the sales rep, was the most pleasant and informative person we encountered while looking for contractors for our project. He was very responsive to all of our questions, and always available by cell phone. He coordinated all phases of the project, from the roofing(which had to have the sheathing replaced in many areas), to the siding, gutters, and the garage door(which was custom colored to match the siding). The roof was completed in one day, despite all the work that was needed on the sheathing replacement. The siding crew timed themselves well, allowing me to replace the two entry doors without being rushed, and the gutters and garage door were done in a matter of hours. The worst thing about the project ? If I have to say, the roofing crew could have cleaned up a little better, as I am still finding pieces of old shingles in my gardens. But generally, the whole house looks fantastic, and we have received many compliments on the work that was done. One of our friends even drove past the house, looking for the "old" white house !
