Tunneling is chosen over concrete break out in the living spaces: this choice worked out well with these considerations: no upset / moving (or move out), no storage rental, customer time & labor needed. For this 1977 3-2-2, discovery is made in both the sewer & water lines: the 50 YO cast iron pipes failed a pressure test & tunneling reveals pinholes in the hot & cold water lines. Partnered w/ Olshan was KMP Plumbing, all of which were successful in leveling the foundation, replacing sewer & water lines. An Extra Special notice & thanks to Olshan's Derek Long & team lead Hernandez. "The regular foreman was out sick that day so this kid Blake ramrodded the lift, he didn't seem to know what was going on. They broke two water pipes I found out after they left. Now 5 years later they wont honor the warranty .The piers they installed are sinking and the back of the house is now 2.1 inches down. They blamed it on the engineer(whom they recommended) and said he did not evaluate it correctly according to Blake and failed to design enough pilons to support the house now I’m back where I started from. Now they want another 10 grand to do it again! Life time guarantee my ***! I had multiple other companies measure the house for me and their pilons are sinking and when Blake came out and remeasured, his numbers are different (no surprise) than the latest measurements from other vendors. He said they need to redo all the same pylons they already have done once before for another 10,000!!! Some nerve! Blaming the failure on me because they didn't get the final report from the city of Denton, again my fault. Hope you warn people about this company, they are great till you need some warranty work.******* If you get your foundation worked on make sure you get a water sys pressure check BEFORE they raise the house that way you know if they break pipes during the lift. If it passed before and fails after then they broke something! They always only do this test after so they can tell you "It was that way before". Better luck to you!"

"After talking to six other companies, I decided to give Elite Arborist a try. Carlos came out to give an estimate on laying new sod and redoing the stonework around a tree in my front yard. He was punctual and listened carefully to what I wanted. He told me all the things his company does and how they could make my vision a reality. We ended up agreeing to the work as well as pruning the large oak tree we have. On the day of the project, the sod was delivered 6:30 a.m. and the crew arrived an hour later. I was impressed how they put out orange cones around the area for neighbors’ visual safety. Carlos introduced me to the crew supervisor, Rocky. Throughout the day, Rocky kept me informed about what they were doing and progress. He patiently answered all my questions and reassured me that I would be pleased with the results. I was very impressed with the attention to detail to the stonework around the tree, the meticulous way they prepped to lay the sod and the expertise of tree pruning. They took great care in making sure they left may yard and surrounding areas, i.e., street very clean. By the end of the day, my front yard was transformed and had great curb appeal. Plus, the Oak tree really stands out. Carlos also sent me information on after care and fertilization of the sod. I’m very happy with the results. I paid a little more than I expected but it was well worth it. When it comes to landscaping professionals, Elite Arborist is the company you need. These guys are fantastic. It’s like determining the colors you will use in your new house and you haven’t yet designed the house! Like colours, plants are a medium. You must provide context in order to give meaning. This is the hardscape or ‘bones’ referred to in garden literature. Be it a simple graveled path, a grouping of boulders, or obedient deference to existing topography, this is what will provide year-round interest. It is also the framework that will suggest and therefore help you choose which plants and their placement. The end result is an aesthetic and harmonious integration of hardscape and softscape elements. The Walkabout Way acknowledges the on-site environmental realities (ecozone, drainage, sun, shade etc..) and integrating these along with the clients desired outside intentions (active/passive use) as the basis for formulating a design theme.
