"Great. We had a consultation and described our vision for what we wanted (more color, something to make the back yard look less empty). We also had a few specific little problems like straightening our juniper that got knocked askew during Harvey. Alvin provided us with a detailed estimate. It did not have pictures but for me it was descriptive enough so that pictures were not needed. When we approved the estimate, Universal came in soon thereafter and completed the work in two days (including throwing in the little extras like our juniper situation). They also had someone check and adjust our sprinklers to make sure the new plants will get the water they need. The landscaping looks so good. We previously had a few rocks around our front flower beds; they brought in a lot more to line and raise the beds (which makes them look so much nicer), and added mulch as well as new plants. They also used our existing plants that still had life to them (they got rid of the dying ones per our request) and transplanted some of them to other areas in the yard. They installed a new flower bed behind the pool. Per our request, they planted some plants along the fence line to dress it up a little without obstructing the view behind our fence. They chose dwarf crepe myrtles, which I am excited about as a crepe myrtle fan. I can't stop wandering around my yard admiring everything. Of course, some of the plants (like the new dwarf crepe myrtles) are new and small, and will grow out over time, so I know it will look even better in the future. We are very happy, 100% satisfied."

"Clay and his crew did a very nice job with installing sod, drainage and yard leveling. Prices are very affordable. I have stepping stones in my backyard and with the extra limestone they put it between my stepping stone for a nice finish without being asked. There was a very nice gesture from him. "Below are the details of our experience with Drain Xperts. Overall, I would highly recommend this company for drainage work. We recently moved into a home that had some backyard flooding issues. The front yard is heavily sloped to the street but the backyard is slightly lower which caused pooling even on a light rain. A friend of mine had recently received quotes from a few companies that specialize in drainage systems and chose Drain Xperts. I was able to see the project in various stages and was impressed with the quality of work for the price. My friend's neighbor also chose Drain Xperts after and the job was done well. I did not give a rating for the price because I did not seek out other bids after my friend's research in a similar job. Drain Xperts was by far the best price. Jimmy came to give a quote on a day that there was standing water in the yard so he was able to see the location of the problem areas. Jimmy was obviously very experienced in this work and we talked about some other projects his company had worked on. He proposed a system that eventually included about 175 feet of 4inch PVC starting on one point of the backyard, wrapped around the deck to the back of the yard, then to the other side of the yard and then went straight down to the street along a brand new plumbing drain pipe that was installed weeks before. Along the path of the pipe included drain boxes throughout to collect the water. They also installed three drain pipe stems next to the house so that future gutters would be able to flow directly into the new drain system. The crew used extra dirt from digging to grade areas of the yard so that water would flow away from the house and toward the drain boxes. Jimmy's crew worked fast and did a great job. The work was permitted through the City of Houston. Jimmy and his crew were professional and responsive during the entire process and gave no hassle when we asked for minor modifications to the project. We have already seen positive results from the system and don't cringe at the thought of rain coming. Once we add the gutters and do additional grading in certain parts of the yard, the system will be even better. As I mentioned at the beginning, I would highly recommend Jimmy and Drain Xperts for your drainage project."

"Before the City dug, Ramon moved 12+ feet of stacked rock from around the front flower bed to protect it. After the City finished their work, Ramon re-built the rock retaining wall, extending it to cover the new (WHITE) clean-out pipe installed right in front. He added some extra rock from the back of our yard, hard work on a hot day. He added a 2nd sprinkler head to the bigger flower bed & filled it with good soil & new plants. Looks great! Ramon noticed our front lawn sprinklers weren't working, so dug a long trench to find the line. City workers had cut the line & fixed it a twist of wire! Ramon got the correct supplies & fixed that, too. He does good work and works hard. We'll recommend him to friends."

"Response was as appointed and friendly. Equipment was adequate to perform the work safely. Work was done as specified. Debris was removed (1 large trailer full). In addition, they suggested removal of some trees 3" to 8" diameter. We accepted some of these suggestions. They provided estimates for removal of two larger trees."
