"Have used Paschal for 5 years now for all my heating, A/C, and generator service and am very satisfied with their service, punctuality, and professionalism. My only complaint is that I see the top techs they have because I have a large generator, and then they get promoted to supervisor positions and no longer make tech house strive calls! Seriously, they are the best I have found in NWA, and always do whatever they commit to."

"They did a really good job. When they came in the house, they used booties for their feet and cleaned up after themselves. It was less than 150$ for everything that we had done. We had sewage coming up in our yard and we had been told that we might have to replace sewer lines and they could have come and done that but they took a look at it and found that it was just a tap of some sort that needed replacing. They fixed it for a little bit of nothing and we thought it was going to be hundreds or dollars-somebody else had quoted us that. They came out, brought the supplies and fixed it within an hour or so. While they were here, we had a faucet that was leaking and the guys said they would take a look at it. We have white carpets but they put on booties and walked in the bathroom and fixed it within 15 minutes. I would use them again if I needed a plumber. They came on a Saturday."

"The work was carefully and skillfully done. The line had to be run from a black iron pipe in the basement supplying a tankless water heater to a new propane refrigerator in the garage.  The new line was run where it would be out of harm's way and firmly attached to to the concrete walls in the basement and to a stud where it passed through a wall into the garage.  Travis made each connection using a sealant and with teflon tape, then came back after the gas was on and tested each connection for leaks with a spray bottle containing a liquid that would show bubbles if there were any leaks.  I do not trust just anybody to do propane plumbing.  A propane leak in a basement can cause a major explosion. <br /> Travis has done various other work for me over the years. All of it has been first class. He is not always immediately available, and you cannot wait if the basement is flooding; but if you can get him, you will be well satisfied. <br />"

"Allan discovered the drain hose was pushed too deep into wall drain opening; pulled some of the length out --- now draining properly with no backflow of water into the tub. It appears that solved our problem ---- so no parts or further repair needed. Thank, Allan !"

"Installer was very knowledgeable. Installing the guardrail and post was a lot more technical than I realized, and skill with experience is definitely needed for such a task. You must have skill sets for installing each spindle and securing the base and top rail. 3D Construction was meticulous. <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Fort Smith, AR

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
