Tecton Stoneworks is a division of Utter Construction Company which has been in business since 1995. UCC-Tecton offers diverse expertise, installing all types of masonry materials including: brick, pavers, concrete block, stone, glass block, cultured stone, cast stone and thin stone veneer. Over the past ten years, our clients have requested the use of stone more often than any other masonry material. Because of the growing demand, this new division of UCC is being formed, to more accurately meet the needs of our clientele. Aaron Utter, owner of UCC, is a third-generation stone and brick mason. He learned masonry under the guidance of his father, Loyall Utter, who learned from Aaron's grandfather, J. L. Vandergriff. Honesty and integrity are the foundation of UCC and Tecton Stoneworks. "Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."

He was able to accommodate all of my needs with no issues or delays. He is a true professional, a perfectionist and very trustworthy. Has been in the construction business for many years since he was young with his dad and is a building inspector so he knows what problems to look for and how they need to be fixed correctly. He does not typically work on multiple projects at the same time and will be there on time every day until your project is completed. I would encourage prospective clients to go online also and watch his very helpful and informative videos that he’s posted on YouTube. Also, don’t judge solely on price. As the saying goes…you get what you pay for. You’re going to come out ahead of the game by getting it done right the first time and avoiding hiring him after your previous contractor did crappy or slipshod work. "When I started my project I really wasn’t sure what I wanted except the old shower and bathtub gone and replaced with a walk-in shower and cabinet where the old shower was. Talking with Dan he started asking questions and suggested options. He was right on with what I wanted and didn’t realize. Took popcorn off ceiling, removed wallpaper, retextured walls, replaced old cabinets, tiled floor. He talked with me throughout the project on any problems that arose and answered questions I had as he proceeded through the project. They were very professional and cleaned up after each days work. I would recommend him and use him again in the future."
