He had to pay him for the rest of the work which ended up costing over $300 for basic work that any handyman could have done. He left a heavy 2 foot 4x4 in my basement near the air conditioner; he also left the rotted roof support beam on my property which I had to dispose of. I kept the unused and cut wood that was purchased as I could cut it and re-use it elsewhere. I recently hired a real carpenter for replacement of my shed doors and he was a true skilled professional who came to my house and measured the wood needed and hardware and purchased the materials and had an assistant to help him do the work which was an excellent job. "I couldn't have asked for a better person then Mr. McGavin to do the work. He came out to the house, to see exactly what I wanted done. His quote was very fair and reasonable. I contracted him to do the work. I had to power wash the house first, so there was a delay on my behalf before Mr. McGavin could start. One day after the power washing, I asked him to come out so we could match the color. Once that was done, he asked if he could started that same day. I said to go for it. The weather was perfect and little to no wind, ideal for painting outside. He started about 11 am and completed about 90% of the job. He would return next day and have it finished by 11 am. Job completed and the house looks new again. What a GREAT job Mr. McGavin and his son in law did. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Will definitely use Mr.McGavin again and highly recommend his services."
