"David, Stessy and Team were great. David was patient, responsive and communicated great with his team and I throughout the process. He gave us lots of options and gave some great advice based on our home's needs and existing features. His team took pride in their craftsmanship and worked hard throughout the process until the very end. David & Stessy both came multiple times to check on the progress throughout the process and were an absolute pleasure to work with on this project. The floors and baseboards came out great, we couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend them to others or hire them again if we have another project."

"I hired Billy to replace my front front and rear exterior doors. He did such a good job that I ended up hiring him to replace my interior doors and trim. He also pressure cleaned and painted the outside of my house, and repainted our pool deck. He repaired some odds and ends around the place. And we had him update or guest bathroom. He was terrific . Highly recommended ."

"Benny came, he saw, and he delivered a fantastic new porcelain tile installation! We couldnâ t be happier. From the rip out of the old carpeting and bathroom tile in our small guesthouse, to suggestions about how to deal with trim issues to the actual installation and cleanup, everything was done on time and at a very fair price. The guesthouse is now so clean and beautiful that our guests will never leave. Thanks Benny."

"We found the reviews for Superior Tile on Home Advisor and called Gabriel because we were undecided about what type of flooring would be best in our condo. We met him at his store and chose stone flooring for the whole condo. His crew arrived as scheduled and spent a whole day removing old carpet and tile. They carefully moved furniture and cleaned as they worked. The crew that laid the tile went out of their way to work longer hours in order to have our tile in for the holidays. They were polite, hardworking and very accomodating. They did an excellent job and we are extremely pleased with our new floors. After the job was done, they promptly removed all of their equipment and cleaned the work area. We have had several neighbors stop by and compliment the beautiful floors. We would highly recommend Gabriel to anyone looking for flooring."

"Tile & More LLC did a good job installing floor tile in 3-bedrooms and glass tiles in our kitchen. Ricardo (owner and installer) was on time everyday. I found Ricardo trustworthy, polite and helpful in giving his opinion relating to job decisions.."

FAQs for tile: ceramic and porcelain repair projects in Fort Pierce, FL

People use the terms refinishing, resurfacing, and reglazing interchangeably. Refinishing is a process that repairs old tiles and gives them a fresh new coat of finish. This is also called tile resurfacing or reglazing.

Yes, you can refinish tiles as a DIY project, but it’s important to follow all the steps involved. These include the following:

  1. Clean the tiles or hire a local tile cleaning service to remove all the residue (soap film, oil, grease, and dirt).

  2. Etch the tile to ensure the refinishing solution adheres properly.

  3. Fill in any cracks or chips in the tile.

  4. Recoat the grout.

  5. Repair any missing or damaged caulking where applicable.

  6. Apply the refinishing product, primer, and enamel.

Your newly reglazed tile should last between 10 and 15 years with proper installation. However, higher-traffic areas and moisture may result in a reduced life span. Explore the cost of different tile types to determine which material works best for your home and needs.

Your bathtub and tile refinishing cost will likely seem like a small price to pay for the transformation it offers. Provided your tile and grout are both intact, refinishing will bring a brand-new style at a fraction of the cost.

Yes, most ceramic tile is paintable with specific epoxy or tile paints. However, you’ll want to avoid areas of heavy use or moisture, such as countertops, showers, and bathtubs. Paint can crack, bubble, or wear away over time, especially on floors.
