"I highly recommend Gary Sumberg for any home Architectural Drawing and Design work. Initially we had some rough ideas on what we wanted to do, but we were unclear how these ideas would affect our budget, or how to implement them. Gary’s experience and knowledge in construction and design helped us come up with a design that met all of our wants and needs. Through the entire process, Gary was very helpful and patient with helping us design our entire home remodel. Gary met with us on many occasions throughout the process. He is very prompt, and was very responsive to our calls, texts and emails. Gary would quickly prepare draft ideas on paper so he could present them to us for consideration in person, or via email. Gary worked with the Power Company to ensure we could move our electrical panel, and he brought in an engineer to prepare the necessary Engineering report, since we were making so many structural changes. Once a final plan was determined, Gary quickly finalized the drawings, and he made multiple copies for us, the city, and our contractors for bidding. Gary then met with the city of Laguna Niguel on multiple occasions to present our plans and to respond to their comments and questions. In the end our construction permit was obtained, Gary made this permit process very simple for us. In summary we were very happy with Gary and would use him again, and would heavily recommend him to our friends. "Please do not hire this company. Throughout our process, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered. Before our fees were paid, they always responded within hours; it was great. Little did I understand how their company works. Your initial people are just salespeople so they are motivated to both push for the sale and also provide quick customer service. However, once you pay your fees, they just farm out your work to random people all over the planet. They have no control over those people, so they cannot guarantee their work product or their timelines. I emailed the company multiple times and IF they responded, it was very slow and they promised to get back with the information we needed. Of course, that rarely, if ever happened. Dealing with this company caused delays and way more stress than I could have even expected. I requested a refund when they were not producing our contracted plans, and they flat-out refused, knowing that it would be difficult for us to collect."

I had the unfortunate experience with them and their fellow company they work hand and hand with Absolute Steel for a barndo. We agreed end of June to pay an extra $800 for the designs to be expedited. They failed with this. No sooner did we send $ and paid in FULL they assigned a spanish speaking architect in their firm with heavy dialect, very difficult to understand as Chris Yaeger went on vacation. After the zoom call for Schematic Design I received 2 options for design that were NOT in the least close to the discussion on zoom call. I sent an email to Greg, owner and his response he would look into it and NEVER heard from him again. The project sat til July 14, that is when 14 days was up! What she sent me was a sq footage in shop area from 1500-2000 to all the way up to 3600. Waste of more time. I kept trying to get the overall design reduced in sq footage and it was like pulling teeth. Obviously, the mor"
