"Dillon and Cole arrived on time and explained exactly what work would be completed and how. They showed me the ducts up close so I could see what needed to be cleaned. They also showed me the ducts afterward and they were clean as could be. It was only a week ago and I already notice less dust in the air. Very professional, reasonably priced and I would definitely hire them again."

"The two technicians, installers they sent were outstanding. Taylor made a number of repairs to previous errors in duct work that I knew nothing about. They left the house each day with no cleanup for me. I would HIGHLY recommend All Service. Though I haven't had much of an opportunity to use new systems, I believe Trane was the way to go. Will follow up throughout the Fall and Winter seasons."

"The air conditioning sudddenly stopped operating. The repairman replaced the filters and thawed the frozen unit in the attic and cleaned up the wet mess. The outside unit would not function properly;so he tested the motor and found the bearings had lost their oil and were burned out. He ordered a new motor. The freon caps were loose, shich allowed the freon to leak out. The repairman tightened the caps and put 3 pounds of freon into the units. He was then able to get the motors to start. Superior office determined that the motor was under warranty and ordered it (because of special size and capacity it is not a stock motor). The motor arrived in three days and the repairman replaced it promptly."

"After reviewing Angie's List and obtaining other quotes, I chose Emory Young with Mold Stoppers of Greenville because of his knowledge of the issue and his detailed explanation of the processes and products available to resolve it. The quoted price was very similar to other quotes received, but my level of comfort with Emory's professionalism and thoroughness during the initial inspection and quote process was a significant factor in selecting him for the job. He spent no less than an hour under the house doing a thorough inspection and provided numerous photographs to help explain the problem and what needed to be done to resolve it. Because of the thorough assessment, there were no surprises or added costs at the completion of the project. Emory had two guys on staff who did much of the work, but he also spent considerable time under the house doing the work and ensuring the job was done correctly. The job took several weeks to complete but I was not on a timeline and told Emory that from the beginning. The crawl space has very low clearance and is choppy so I appreciated the extra time he and his crew spent to make sure they did a thorough job. After everything was cleaned and encapsulated, he installed a commercial dehumidifier and condensate pump. Emory also identified a small leak under the master bathroom and some issues with the duct work under the house that we would not have known about. I highly recommend Emory Young if you have any mold or moisture issue. <br />"

"I took estimates from three companies before choosing Comfort First. The first company was very expensive ($4-5K), the second company had an Angie's List deal but when they sent an estimate the price went up $1000 and then there was Comfort First. <br />  I had contacted them and scheduled an estimate for the next week and Kelli, project manager, came out and first spent about 45 minutes looking at the insulation, measurements, vents, duct work, current unit, etc... in order to give an exact estimate and make sure that we were looking at the correct system for our house.  <br /> After looking at everything, Kelli estimated that there might need to be some additional work done to fi the system to the house correctly, $325 added on, but that the deal that was Angie's List would work for our house.  <br /> We agreed to do the work and they came out the NEXT DAY.  <br /> The workmen were slated to be on site at 9:30am and it would take around 5 hours of work.  <br /> They arrived at 8am and finished in 3 hours. They removed the old exterior and interior units, cleaned up, checked the system and did not have to do the extra work, so we saved the extra $325. Both techs were professional and knowledgable.  <br /> We would use them again if we needed work performed.  <br />"

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Franklin, NC

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
