"The person who answered the phone was friendly. I told that one of my gates on a fence that The Fence Co. had installed some years ago was sagging and I needed a service call. He insisted that I take a photo of the gate with my phone and email it to him before he scheduled the call so that, "they would know what to bring with them to be able to fix it." When I explained that I had never taken or emailed a phone photo, he explained how I might do that. I did figure out how to take and send the photo, and he promptly called me back. He explained that their minimum charge for a service call was $275.00 but that he could explain to me how to fix it myself and save the money---which he then tried to do. I find it disappointing that The Fence Co. does not have a reasonable scale of charges to provide repair services for customers who buy their product. It is their right not to, but I would not use them again to install a fence for me because of it, nor would i recommend them to someone on that bases. I have left their "The Fence Co. w/phone#" sign on my gate all these years, but it is coming off this weekend."

"Lance and his company was most professional and courteous before we even committed to an install. Once we scheduled an install, it was well executed and looked and worked great. Training was done by a superb trainer that our dog took to immediately. You can tell they care about their profession as well as the animal. A year later, damage was done by a third party. Lance himself showed up promptly on a holiday weekend to fix the fence and save our weekend. I can't recommend Lance's Hidden Fencing enough. A+ job."

"Robb was awesome! When I called to schedule, he asked a lot of questions to help me choose the best fence for my dog. He arrived when scheduled - and did not ask for a four hour window to arrive! We walked the yard 2x to make sure I liked the placement and to discuss all the utility markings. I have an older home and many of the wires that should have be buried much lower than an invisible fence wire would be buried, are not. Robb was very careful, hand shoveling a lot, to make sure that no wires where cut. The cuts through my cement were precision and sealed very well. The spot were the wire was brought into my garage was completed with PCV pipe to be both esthetically pleasing as well as protective of the wire. I could not have been happier nor could I more highly recommend! <br />"

"I was happy with the installation and also with the training they provided for my dog. We are having a bit of a problem now, and their policy is kind of frustrating. My fence will beep intermittently, and they told me they’ll come out only if the fence is beeping, otherwise they’d charge me a $75 fee."

"Kevin and John just finished building a 575 foot 4 board fence in my backyard. They also removed the old fence. They did the whole job in only 7 days. It is not only the best looking fence in the neighborhood, but it is also extremely solid and straight. Each post is perfectly in line with each other, as are the boards. The gates are solid as well and function perfectly. A neighbor liked the job so much that he asked the boys for an estimate for his yard. Kevin and John cleaned up any mess that the job created. When they were done all I could see was my yard and a beautiful fence. If you want a beautiful solid fence for a very reasonable price, look no further than Heartwood Fence. "This is a follow-up to an earlier review. A neighbor's landscape service damaged a few posts in the fence and I contacted Burcor to purchase some replacements. It took longer than usual for them to receive the parts from the manufacturer and whether it was from the delay or the initial installation issues, Jeff provided them to us at no cost. We didn't ask for them to be free and fully expected to pay, so it came as a nice surprise. We appreciated his customer service and based on the past few interactions, we'd hire them again."

"Could not have had a better experience with DogWatch! Starting with the estimate. Graham was knowledgeable and patient in explaining the product and options with me. He was very up front about the price and left me with product literature and a written estimate (believe it or not, I had another company come out to look at the yard and simply told me, "it will be about this much."). I was able to schedule the install relatively quickly and on a day that was convenient for me. I believe it was Mike who did the install. Again, he showed up promptly and was courteous. We had a few special requests regarding the install which he met for us without issue. When he was done, you could hardly tell he had been here (other than the white flags in the yard!). No concrete dust where he drilled through the foundation, no mess, nothing! He even pulled out a level to mount our transmitter to the wall... in our unfinished basement! That kind of pride in workmanship is refreshing! Then there is the training. That was second to none. On install day, Heidi spent plenty of time with us showing us how to work with our dog to get him used to the fence. She even brings another dog with her to help with the training! Then she comes back a week later for an evaluation and additional training if needed. In my opinion that's essential for the fence working for you. Our dog did great and the system works wonderfully. It has some very helpful features like the tattletale, etc. I can't recommend this company enough!! Go with DogWatch!"
