"Bob was prompt and professional. He talked with me on the phone then came and checked out the job site. <br /> He came the day before the sewer work was to be completed to take down the fence and put the fence back up after the sewer job and rip rap job was completed. It was a small job but he was willing to do it. When he replaced the fence, he had a couple workers with them and he completed the job quickly. One of my poles was rotted on the bottom and he replaced it. His crew left the jobsite clean. <br /> Other than one slightly shiny pole, you would never guess the fence was taken out and put back. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Paul was responsive to my request for a quote. A tree fell on our fence during a storm, a small section of fencing was damaged, as well as a couple of the poles and the top bar. I hired him and he did not show up or call me on the first scheduled date. I called him, he rescheduled, and he did show up the second time. I had a roll of new chain link fencing material which I had showed Paul when he estimated the job. He said it was more than enough to do the small repair so he just had to supply the poles and top bar.  His estimate included trash removal of the broken fencing. <br /> His fence repair seems fine and I appreciate the fact that he would take a small job. However, he left the broken fencing behind, telling me that he did not have room in his truck that day due to another job he was going to. He assured me he would be back the next day to pick up the trash. He did have room on his truck to remove the roll of new chain link fencing material that I had told him he could use to fix our fence. I noticed his helper load that material in to their truck. I believe I may have mentioned to Paul when I first met with him that I had no use for the new fencing, so I didn't say anything to him about the fact that I saw him take it.  My concern is with the fact that he opted to take this instead of our trash. He also looked surprised when I came out of the house and he told me that he thought I wasn't home. He did not make any mention of the new fencing material and the fact that he had loaded it on his truck. <br /> I trusted him to complete the job and paid him that day so he wouldn't have to schedule a time when I was home to remove the trash and get paid.  He did not return to pick up the trash. I have repeatedly called him and emailed him. Each time I communicate with him, he assures me he hasn't forgotten me and will be back to remove the trash.  It is now June. I believe two and one half months was ample time for him to find 5 minutes to clean up the trash per our agreement.  <br /> I guess it is partially my fault.  I keep trusting people whom I hire to actually do what they agree to and I am quick to pay these workers, even if there is just one little thing left to do.  Paul is not the first person to disappear after being paid but I keep holding onto the belief that most people are honorable. When I am proven correct, it reminds me that this is true, most people are honest and there are just a few people I encounter who take the money and run. <br />  If Paul decides to pick up this trash, he can be among the people who restores my faith in our fellow beings and helps me to  trust the next person I hire. <br />"

"It went well except for one item: In my contract, I'd added a requirement to protect my newly installed windows from being damaged. The work crew failed to provide window protection and four of my windows were scratched when the old roofing material was removed. However, Authentic Restoration immediately took all responsibility and had all four windows replaced at their own expense with no hassle. This was very refreshing when many vendors would have tried to find a way to avoid the expense of replacing the windows. Kudos to Authentic Restoration!"

"It was excellent. They put in the fence originally and they were exceptionally careful and thoughtful of our plantings. They even repaired the fence that had gotten out of whack from taking out the fence from the corner. They even replaced two little spokes that had gotten bent. Dear don't go over the fence, they go through the fence. The quality was excellent."

"We initially received an estimate in August from Harrison Fence.  The salesman was profession and helpful in determining the best layout.  He was also very helpful in making cost conscious decisions regarding the layout of the fence as we needed to go through a wooded area.  Due to the size of the project the install had to be scheduled ~4 weeks out which was normal based on other companies I had estimates from as well.  We had a lot of rain that delayed the project.  During this time the office did an excellent job of contacting us and letting us know the status of the scheduling.  I know she was on the phone all day with customers rescheduling but still returned my call when I had a question.  The installation crew did a great job.  My only complaint was that the actual footage was greater than when the estimator was on site; however i did not move any of their flags.  I think the installers used a bit more accurate measuring and it resulted in a couple hundred dollar change order.  Not a big deal in the project scope but I was caught a little of guard.  I think the salesman should have contacted me to discuss the variance. <br />"
