"For the past two years, I've trusted Dono at American Lawn and Tree Specialists to fertilize and protect our lawn, trees and shrubbery. He's a conscientious, careful, and skilled technician who's addressed blight while protecting adjacent plants. Our lawn looks great. We're very satisfied with the customer service and results. I highly recommend this business without reservation."

"We were very pleased with the results of our project with Mark's Landscaping to visually enhance a newly constructed pool with landscaping details. Mark came out promptly and provided a fair, reasonable quote and had some helpful ideas to enhance the look of our backyard and pool enclosure. He arrived on time as well as his crew who performed the work. We would not hesitate to use this company again!"

"Eric and team did an excellent job of making a 20 year old red pavers walkway look new again. He landscaped the front of our house with beautiful river jack rocks and ensured symmetry with the red step to the front entrance. All requests were accommodated and the project was professionally managed and completed."

"Conscientious. Detail-oriented. Collaborative. Kyle and his crew are awesome! They installed a paver walkway and small patio for our grill and plants along the front and side of the house. They also graded around our porch and dug 30 fence post holes. I highly recommend them and will hire them again if we have additional needs. Without a doubt, Kyle exceed our expectations!"

"I  hired Timber Care to remove and haul away a 42" round tulip poplar tree.  I was really nervous about this because the tree was so large and close to the house, they had to remove part of my fence as well.  My fears were put to rest when I saw them start to work, the lead fellow that did all the trimming was great he made it seem so easy and the crew that worked with him also.  It took them most of the day to do this. I would definitely hire them again and request the same crew.

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in Freeland, MD

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
