"It went very well. They were doing some landscaping work in my neighbor's yard; I was impressed with their work effort and results. So, inquired about trimming my trees and repairing my leaning fence. Victor and his crew explained to me why my already once repaired fence had failed and was leaning over. They explained how they would rectify the problem so it would not reoccur. They also trimmed and shaped 7 redwood trees I have in my yard. They completed the jobs very quickly and were very professional. Their prices are reasonable, and all areas were thoroughly cleaned up. Would definitely use them again."

"Our experience with Hansen Landscaper Contractor exceeded our expectations. Steve and his team are total pros, and the whole experience was very pleasant. Steve's process is simple and effective:  he recommends a visit to his showyard, which is beautiful. The showyard is a great idea, because it provides a good mix of the types of plants and materials that he typically works with, and do well in a Northern California climate. It's also good for people who might not be familiar with landscaping and gardening to start visualizing what they want (I had a good idea, my SO didn't, and it was helpful for him.) Steve then chats with you about your ideas and the next step is a home consultation, the cost of which is applied back to your project if you sign a contract. The $250 seemed reasonable, and we were pretty sure we were going to select him, based on his Diamond Certified status and BBB rating (at the time I was researching landscapers, I hadn't joined Angie's List). <br /> He and Peter came out to our house and gave us great ideas and formed a solid plan, including solutions for an awful drainage problem we had. We decided to go ahead with drawings, which were $750, and ours to keep whether we contracted with him or not. Steve was open to plant suggestions and patiently worked with us while we sorted out the features that we wanted in our landscaping. We settled on stamped concrete for the patio, front walkway, and side yard (home of the drainage problem), an entirely new backyard lawn and planting beds, new planting beds in the front yard, updating the sprinklers in the front yard, and installing a new system in the back, accent boulders, and a splurge on landscape lighting. Steve also made suggestions that saved us money, like refreshing the front lawn rather than replacing it, and working with the existing front yard sprinkler system rather than installing a more expensive drip system. Steve answered all our questions and reworked details on the drawings several times until we were happy with them. The drawings sailed through our notoriously picky HOA?s approval and final inspection process with ease. <br /> Steve sent us a contract, which was quite detailed, and I recommend reading it thoroughly and comparing it to the drawings. We had a few corrections, and they were handled quickly and pleasantly. Our total project cost was estimated at $45K, and Steve came in right at budget. Our timeframe was two weeks, and went like clockwork. The demolition took one day, and then the concrete work started. His concrete subcontractor is excellent, and totally fixed our drainage problem. Jack, our project manager, explained everything that was going to happen, so there were no surprises. Steve, Peter, and Jack were always available to answer questions and there were literally no problems with the work. They were done on time, and on budget. There was one small change order, but we'd been advised of the possiblitiy even before we signed the contract, and that came in under budget. Choosing the concrete color was a bit of an adventure, and we were advised upfront that we needed to be visionaries, so we did a lot of research. We carefully chose a neutral tan color, and were delighted that the final color had a rosy tone to it - which was exactly what I wanted. Once the concrete was done, the new lawn in the backyard and the planting beds went very quickly and it wasn't long before our property looked absolutely gorgeous. The lighting, in particular, was a large percentage of the budget, but well worth the cost, and we get many compliments on it. Our property looks like a resort at night, and extends our ability to use it after the sun sets. <br /> Steve and his team use excellent subcontractors, and the quality of the materials (lighting, plants, wood, bark, hardware) are first rate. His designs are lovely, and tailored for your property. Our backyard is not large, but his design gave us more useable space, and is beautifully balanced. I can't speak highly enough of the crew and their friendliness and professionalism:  they answered all questions, made excellent recommendations, and left our property neat as a pin at the end of each day. I was also very impressed at everyone's attention to detail and project management skills. And customer service is their top priority. We felt that we were well-cared for and that our project was important to them. Communication was excellent and we felt were were kept apprised at every stage of the project. I also feel comfortable contacting them with questions if they arise in the future. <br /> It's true that Hansen is on the expensive side, but when you consider that his team has been with him for many years, and he pays them a good wage with benefits, you see the payoff in a smoothly running operation committed to excellence, and devoted to your project. He also provides a generous guarantee on his work and materials. We were so pleased with Steve?s service that we contracted with him to provide gardening service, and the guys have been just as expertly attentive to our landscaping. They're also cheerful, friendly, and leave us nice notes. <br /> We had a wonderful experience, and now have the tranquil garden we always hoped for.I recommend them unreservedly. <br />"

"Electrician Chris did an excellent job for me. Showed up within the one-hour window they had scheduled. Got to work promptly, and in very short order, I had my new lights working. Chris was a real professional, focussed on the job at hand, but was still personable, politely answering my questions as he worked. Great value, and I will definitely be using them again for any future electrial work! <br />"

"Billy has done work for me several times and is the guy that I call for my electrical needs. He has installed a couple ceiling fans, electrical boxes and relocated a switch. Not only does Billy do good work, but when he cuts into a wall, he has connections with reputable folks to follow up and close the wall."

"So very grateful for Kerri Construction’s expertise in redesigning our front yard. Rich Kerri produced a plan with a solution for the hazardous step at our front door, removing the aged lawn and overgrown shrubbery, and was flexible as we finalized plant selections. Once the project started, the crew was exceptional at every stage. Always prompt, courteous and ready for the day’s tasks. So much hard work, and we truly appreciate it! The final product is beyond our expectations. We love the open space the rocks provide, the accent boulders, and lighting. Plants are strategically placed, and bring it all together. We are very happy with the outcome! R & T"

"He provided a written summary of all his findings, and while he did highlight a few areas that were concerning, i never felt the pressure to use him for any of the repair work that the report brought out. I did end up using John on the repair jobs and a few jobs afterward (adding a subpanel, adding a 220v extension, changing an exterior conduit). He was very thorough in illustrating things that differed from code, and whether they were actual issues or not (mostly not). He was also very flexible in working with our schedule, even working in the evening without extra charge. <br />"

"For context, we hired System Pavers for work on our forever home. We spent about $80,000 on the project. We were not payed or compensated in anyway for this review. Because I've owned my own business for years, I felt compelled to right this review because good service and quality work, which exceeds expectations, deserves to be recognized. Let's be clear, System Pavers competes over quality and service, not price. Chrys Hoffman provided excellent design services. She made extra trips to ensure that we developed a vision that worked for me and my wife. Additionally, when there were scope changes, she made sure to call those out along with any additional charges. She gave us time between sessions to discuss and incubate our thoughts. When the project was completed the only surprises were good ones. System Pavers completed the project at the price we were expecting. System Pavers never nickle-and-dimed us. They were accommodating over any issues that were not adequately defined from the beginning. They also provided helpful suggestions that at times meant extra work for them. For example, on our side gate entrance, they recommend creating a cut-out to keep the garbage cans and allow a clear walkway into the backyard. They didn't even charge extra for that. They also extended our Pavers a few yards beyond the original plan to cover the cement which was demolished to make room trenching gas and electrical into an outdoor kitchen area. Nick Padilla, our project manager, went out of his way to help our dream come true. We had planned a 3-column basalt fountain. I was really attached to using a multi-colored fountain lights kit, embedded in the bore holes of the basalt columns to light up the water at night. However, when the fountain lights arrived, I discovered that the boreholes were about 1/2 inch to small to mount the lights flush with the tops of the columns. Nick had experience with stone masonry. He volunteered to help bore out the column holes an extra half inch at the top to make the fountain lights work. It worked. The fountains look fantastic at night! Nick made it happen for us. I've compared System Pavers' work to the work some of our neighbors completed with small independent contractors. It is easy for anyone to immediately see the difference in quality. Friends that have come to visit have commented on the excellent job System Pavers did with the pavers--friends in the contracting and construction business. One last thing. System Pavers remains focused on their core business, but they understand that completing a project often includes work that is not part of their core business. They referred a general contractor named Mohsen Esfahani who was very experienced and easy to work with. We could tell him what we wanted to do and he would suggest a variety of ways to do it--always starting with the least expensive options. He's pricing was very fair and his work was very good. If you are lucky, you will get Mohsen on your project also. Again, hats-off to Chrys Hoffman, Nick Padilla, Angel, Roberto, Mohsen, and the rest of the guys on the team."
