Franklin came out and drilled the hole for me in about 45 minutes for a reasonable price. "Overall the Spring clean up was satisfactory. The sod on the other hand was not installed properly. First of all the sod was laid with the roots not level with the other grass. The grass was pieced together with gaps. Even with watering the grass it turned brown within two days. I repeatedly tried to get Mr. Porter to come and look at the work that was done and he said he would but failed to do so. I am going to have someone else redo his work."

Walter (owner) was in the difficult position of coming in and finishing up a remodel begun by another contractor who could not continue. Linares did a wonderful job and provided exceptional value. Walter was great at seeing how an original plan was maybe not the best way to go and proposing a more workable alternative. He is an excellent, dedicated craftsman. His wife, Wilma, was also on site everyday helping with details. There were many unexpected turn in this complicated job but Walter and Wilma held steady, remained flexible, overcame all obstacles, and created a beautiful, warm home space."

"I had a dishwasher installed by them and it should have been a 2 person job, but they sent one person. Then they left, without checking their work, and it leaked. They sent someone else, 1.5 hours later, whose direction caused my upstairs bathroom to flood, leak through the ceiling and light fixtures downstairs. Then raised the front of the dishwasher when leveling causing it to damage the door of the brand new dishwasher. What did they take responsiblity for and fix a week later? Lowering the front of the dishwasher...not the damage of the door on the dishwasher, not any responsibility for the flooding, or the fact that it took the whole day for a 3.5 hour at most install. I also did not get the Veteran discount that I was told. The owner said they weren't responsible for the other damage. Bad form..."

"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"
