"Right before my warranty expired the bathtub I had refinished started peeling on the area in front of the tub. When I called to get it fixed the office that did the original job was redistricted and would not service me so there was some back and forth with the new location in my service area taking responsibility for the repair. They finally agreed to do the repair but never completed it. The area they fixed was patched but never repainted to match the rest of the tub so it now looks white in some area's but a dingy gray on the patched area and now my warranty has expired."

"Repair done for four separate 1x2ft. holes in the utility room and a small 6 inch hole near where our old alarm system was mounted. Workers were timely, efficient, respectful, and sociable. Wore masks the majority of the time (some time working alone they left off). Took only half a work day for them to complete. Price was reasonable, and they texture matches near perfect. After I came back with touch up paint a week later, you can barely tell that there was any issue. Will be calling again in the future."

"It went very well. We remodeled three bathrooms, had a floor done in one of them, painted one the bathrooms. Very professionally done. The sub-contractors were reliable and cleaned up after themselves when they left. All trash was hauled away by them. A very well done job overall and I would have no hesitation in recommending GlobalDeco."

"I requested to have my master bathroom painted as it just had been renovated. After there were issues with the paint quality and the quality of the work itself. I called several times to allow for her to address the issues. Each and every time I was ignored and simply treated as if she had memory loss. Specifically the cabinets had paint spots and bubbles. The walls are “leaking” paint. The ceilings have some streaking and a brown staining. Stay away."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Fulshear, TX

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
