"I called cny masonry to get a price on the job after the other company I hired didn't work out. Glad it didn't! Jay came out to estimate the job an had some other ideas on how to do it other than what I was going to do. It worked out better than what I was going to have done. They came out on 07/09/14 to start the job. The whole time Jay would text me to let me know how the job was going. Sent pictures also. That was cool since I was at work and couldn't be there to watch. They did all the prep work in one day and came out to pour the concrete on 07/11/14. Came out great. The concrete truck that backed on to my lawn left about a 6 inch trench along the way to get to the job. I didn't think  that was to bad, I thought that it might do some damage. I was going to fill the trench up with the dirt that they had dug up to do the job. Didn't have to. Got a text from Jay the next day saying he had a man coming over to pick up the frame from the job and put some topsoil on them. Wasn't expecting that but that was great. Did I mention I'm glad the other masonry company didn't work out!  Thanks Jay and crew. <br />"

"They were punctual, couteous, and did a wonderful job, despite the unexpected discovery of the original single-width driveway under the 3 other layers!! These layers were not all visible at the time of the quote, yet rather than add more cost to dig up the 4th layer, Mike, the owner, showed me that the original driveway was pretty much in perfect shape, so, to save me extra expense and unnecessary waste of materials, they kept that layer, tamped the exisitng crusher run, filled in the gaps along the sides, and finished up the job the next morning. Even though the work involved to dig up all 3 layers (one of which was about 6 inches thick) added another half day to the job, they did not raise the price. The compromise was that one small section by the curb was left as is, which they came back a week later and sealed so that it matched the new part of the driveway. Originally I was going to have the apron torn up too, but it didn't really need it when all was said and done. <br> <br>I will give an update next Spring, after seeing how it it holds up through the winter. For now I will conclude by saying that I am very pleased with the service and professionalism...not always an easy find these days! <br>"

"We did not go with them, because what he was going to charge us for refinishing the floor I did myself for a fraction of the cost. What they primarily do is they do a lot of commercial properties, so he had a few examples for us of floors that he did at SMUSA and he actually told us to go check them out. He had done three different glosses or finishes and so what we were looking to do in our basement it was not really what we wanted, so that was the big thing. It was kind of tough to get him to come out because what he said on the phone was primarily what he does is commercial. He was very informative and answered all of the questions. He gave us examples of what to go look at. He was very helpful. I think their price was fair. Their price for the actual finishing was good, knowing what I had to go through to strip the floor to do that. What I mean is, it was a good price but just not what we wanted. The estimate and the amount of time he spent there, and the information he was able to give us was extremely helpful."
