"I researched replacement windows before hand so as to be as knowledgeable as a consumer can be. Our windows were each 92" x 77" (over sized).  We had numerous replacement window companies out for bids. <b>ALL</b> said the window companies they represented could not build the windows we wanted due to their large size. Then we called CECS.  Lance, the rep they sent out (in the past he owned his own window co), took measurements and made a few phone calls and said it could be done and at a fair price. He was very responsive to answering all our questions with all the right answers. He knows windows. What is really strange about this whole experience is some of the other replacement window companies who offered the <b>same brand and model</b> window as the ones we just had installed, said our windows couldn't be built. Lance knew who to call to get it done. <br> <br>Since the windows were so large, CECS sent out Brandon and Omar, their 2 lead installers, for our job . They had them installed in a few hours and everything went perfectly. They answered all our questions politely and left the job immaculate. "Went fine.  Keith did it for half the price of the other guy who quoted, who was on a hard sell to completely re-skin several rooms.  Keith realized the walls were a type of plaster instead of drywall, and would need slow-drying mud.  He diagnosed the cracks as somebody using some kind of pre-drywall plaster panels. It was a 1950s-era hack that didn't really work.  The walls were cracking along each panel.  They had obviously been fixed and recracked multiple times. <br /> The ceilings with large numbers of ex-can-lights are smooth as can be.  Everything else was done efficiently.  They addressed the living room with the slow-drying mud, but we got bubbles in several other places after they left.  Keith said he should have remembered the old stuff might pull off when it got wet with new mud, so he redid a lot of that room at cost only to make it perfect.  He warned me the dining room was going to be a problem and had about 50% chance of not working.  Yeah, it didn't.  He suggested giving up on being the Nth person to try to fix the original misguided job.  So he put quarter-inch drywall over it.  Not wonderful but I can see that is a better (or at least much cheaper) solution than pulling everything off and redoing from bare walls.  And I can see the modern drywall is a known, predictable quantity that should not lead to cracks down all the walls in a few years. <br />"

Everything went amazing while the crew was in my house they were very polite and cleaned up after themselves very well. Everything they did was completed before the scheduled date. The whole process only took two weeks and now the kitchen and my master bathroom are my favorite rooms in the house."

"First off, I opened up Angie's List and called a place rated A by Angie's, can't remember the name, but the quote was 700 bucks. I am thinking, two sheets of board cost about 30 bucks and a little spray. I figured, "I am getting screwed on this one," so my friend says to call Sergio up for an estimate. I call and he says over the phone, sounds like $250 dollars, 4 hours labor for two people. He shows up the following week, and it is done in 4 to 5 hours, plus he patched a hole where the front door when opened. He punched a hole in the wall for free. If you want the bomb, if you want a decent job for a decent price, he services all of Sacramento and surrounding communities. Call this guy, you won't be sorry. I gave the guy another 50 bucks as a tip, and I will be calling him again, as I need work in my bathroom."
