"We are very pleased with our bathroom remodel. USA Cabinet Store did a fantastic job on our custom cabinets and countertops. Perfection at its best. Every drawer and cabinet lines up perfectly. Tony was very patient with us picking out materials as well as helping us design cabinets that met all of our needs. He took all the time needed to get it just right. We never felt rushed. Our calls or texts were always returned well within a reasonable amount of time. We would definitely use USA Cabinet Store for our future projects."

"KitchenLift completely remodeled my kitchen, down to the slab. Demolition was completed quickly and without mess. When it came to choosing new cabinets, flooring, backsplash, and countertops, the owner, John Zullinger, was extremely helpful in providing me with the pros and cons of my choices (which I asked for), without trying to persuade me one way or another. He is meticulous about the job, and it showed in the result. The subcontractors he hired were professional, did extremely good work, and cleaned up after themselves. The overall result was a beautiful new kitchen, done painlessly, in a very short period of time. I would definitely recommend KitchenLift and would hire them for future projects."

"First time to try this but I'm glad I did. Bought the big deal and it turned out to be a great deal. Their location was convenient to me so it was easy to run by and see the choices I had. They also emailed me pictures before I purchased. <br />Cabinets weren't quite all installed so they were patient to wait until we had it ready for the granite. My install appointment was easy to make. The actual install was pain free. They did a excellent job and the master closet looks very nice. <br /> I'm an Interior Designer and will definitely use them again. <br />"

"It was a little more expensive than we thought initially but at the end of the day we had added a lot of extras. We upgraded the granite (personal choice) Granite is granite but the upgraded was the color we wanted. They did demo and removal and plumbing of new faucets. Just remember when you do it it's probably going to be more than you anticipated. We are very pleased with the whole project. they were on time, prepared and easy to work with. I would definitely use them again."

"We couldn't be happier with the work that Sammy and his team did on our main bathroom remodel. We loved it so much we decided to have hadour kitchen done too!! From the consultation process right through to clean-up, we were impressed with their professionalism, honesty and attention to detail. Sammy is an excellent communicator: he really listened to what we wanted, had thoughtful advice and suggestions for us to consider, and was always just a phone call or text away. They were always on time and did a great job controlling the mess and cleaning up each day. Their workmanship is truly what impressed us the most: the tile work is outstanding, and I'm in love with our custom cabinets! I would highly recommend The Peraltas, and we look forward to working with them again on our next project!"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Galveston, TX

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
