"I had some settling issues with my foundation, and Jacob from FSS did a thorough evaluation of the problem. I had already had six different companies come by, so I was getting familiar with the routine. What impressed me about the FSS solution was that they could actually stabilize the foundation, putting it on piers that would not shift in the future, unlike the other companies. When the installation crew arrived (Thomas, Timothy and Kennen), they brought along some really impressive galvanized steel hardware. The installation crew was clean and very meticulous about the details, making sure everything was installed correctly. After the foundation was stabilized and leveled, another crew came to do a polyfoam injection under the foundation to fill the air gap left by leveling the foundation. This way the entire foundation is supported, and not resting just on the edges. Overall, I was very pleased with the work. They were certainly not the cheapest, but then, you often get what you pay for."

Zeus Windows price for the quality of window was very competitive and about $20,000 less than the leading replacement widow company. The best part was not having to sit through a four hour sales presentation from a sales rep who didn't want to take no for an answer. Everything can be handled online or over the phone and you get detailed schematics so you know it will be correct, very easy. Can't say enough positive things about my experience with Window City from the initial meeting to the install. I was in need of replacing all 11 of my old metal windows in my ranch style home. After getting 4 different bids I choose Window City - what a great choice!! Greg walked me through the product details, the estimate was really the final cost!! Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable of their craft and VERY respective of my personal property both inside my home and outside. Ron and Elijah did the install - they are very hard working, know what they're doing, work very well together, professional, respective of property, cleaned up after they were done and I don't know how they managed to finish the job in the pouring rain. They kept everything dry but themselves. They should really be commended for their fantastic efforts to get the job done in one day!!

"Magnum handled all the complexities of this hundred year old house's roof.  Dustin was willing to design a roof system (shingles, venting, substrate, the works) jointly with me, the homeowner.  It required a lot of patience on his part, I'm sure.  His project foreman, Jose, is a true craftsman and takes pride in his work.  Jose was also willing to work with me on the fly as the roof was being installed.  Also, there was no language barrier with the crew.  I communicated with Jose and he communicated with the rest of the guys, which is how it's supposed to work.  The end result of Magnum's work is the best roof that has probably ever been on this house.As far as the products used, his company uses Certainteed shingles, which in my opinion are a little better quality than your usual GAF/Elk stuff.  Certainteed has an Energy Star shingle at the standard price point, which GAF does not; to get an Energy Star GAF shingle, you have to get a more expensive shingle.  We opted for radiant barrier decking, but had to get really creative in the installation because of how radiant barrier works.  (Side note: WORD TO THE WISE: KNOW THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE PRODUCTS YOU PLAN TO USE OR THAT A CONTRACTOR SAYS YOU SHOULD USE.  Dustin explained why a competitor's design wouldn't work.  I looked up the science behind what he said, and he was right.  The competitor's design would have provided virtually no benefit for the increased cost.)  We also used a complex system of ridge and hip exhaust vents with edge intake vents.  Like I said, this was a mind bender of a job.  It wasn't all smooth going all the time, but on this complex a project, it won't be and no one should expect it to be.  But Magnum rose to the challenge and it worked out very well in the end."
