Sometimes if he do not have a big job you cannot really expect to get quick service, that kind of goes for a lot of people. "They gave the best estimate, including 2 coats of paint even though I was not changing color. They could not do the work immediately but I didn't care. When they came, they were very thorough in sanding and scraping the doors even though that extended the time they spent on the job. Unfortunately the door stuck shut when the job was finished, but they came out the next day and solved the problem."

He gave us a quote on labor - his agreement is that if a job takes him less time than his quote, he charges the homeowner less, but if it takes him longer, he does not charge the homeowner more - hard to find that kind of customer service these days! <br /> We used him again on a small job, replacing a ceiling fan and all ceiling light fixtures throughout our house. We purchased the fixtures and he installed them beautifully and correctly. <br /> Besides the quality of his work, we like that Allan is a licensed Michigan builder with many years experience - he really knows what he is doing! Allan is from South Carolina and has lived in the UP for a few years - so in addition to great skill, you also get a true southern gentleman doing the work.
