"Provider was very responsive with quote and scheduling.  Did an outstanding job, and make contact after application to ensure I was satisfied with job done and to address any issues.   <br> <br>Debottis made sure the seal coating was applied to asphalt an not mating stamped concrete sidewalk or adjacent concrete garage door entry ways.  <br> <br>Extremely satisfied and will be doing business with Debottis again.   <br> <br>Only regret is I never got to or needed to meet the actual people at Debottis.  "

"This is one of the BEST COMPANIES I have ever worked with! They are very responsive & HONEST!! - After they excavated the sites it was discovered there where Helical piers from a past job of theirs from many years ago... maybe even 20 years ago. Nolan Beery came down to Indianapolis to see the piers first hand - and covered them with their lifetime warranty. I was not the original owner that added the piers... they found the receipt that they did do the work many years ago for a previous owner of my home. They covered majority of the pier sites under their warranty. THERE ARE FEW COMPANIES THAT HAVE THIS HONESTY & INTEGRITEY LIKE ACCULEVEL. Acculevel is one of the best companies I have worked with. Hands down if you need any foundation work by a professional company that stands by their work Acculevel is the choice!"

"Nader's was very good from start to finish. We got a free estimate of the job, and the price was less expensive than all the other options, and we shopped around a lot! <br /> <br />We hired them to reline our cracked chimney flue with a poured concrete product. When they arrived to do the job, it ended up taking four separate days to complete, two more visits than expected to finish up some patch work that was difficult to access, but in the end the chimney is relined and they honored the original price quote. We are very satisfied with their service and our chimney. Thanks Nader's! <br />"

"David Buhler was the guy who came out. He came out to do an estimate about three or four days before he did the work. He scheduled the time when he would come out and do the work. He and his crew showed up on time. They did a very effective job of capping the chimney. He had to come back the next day to remove the forms from the concrete. Then he came out a third time to make sure everything was done properly and that it looked the way he expected it to. I was very satisfied with the work that he did. The price was a little more than we really wanted to spend and it could have been nice if he could have done it for cheaper. I would use his services again if I have more chimney work to do."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Genesee, MI

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
