"By far the lowest price out of four estimates. Installation happened on scheduled date and at scheduled time. Completed when anticipated. Workers were polite and responsive to requests. Workers were very careful and deliberate about making sure top of fence was level all around and looked professional. However, ground was uneven around the pool so in several places the gap between the ground and the bottom of the fence was greater than allowed by "code". Workers did not recognize this as a problem and did not independently take action to correct this, nor did anyone at a management level inspect the fence when completed to insure that it was up to "code". On the other hand, when this was brought to the attention of management, they were very responsive and immediately took action to inspect the fence and proposed an acceptable solution at no additional cost to us. Within a reasonably short period of time, Berkshire Fence brought in dirt and raised ground level around pool to be even on all sides, leaving less than four inches between ground and pool fence (according to "code"), and then reseeded the lawn. Seeding was not professionally done. Soil was not loosened before seeding and seed was not evenly disbursed. Grass grew back very splotchy with many bare spots. Berkshire Fence then reseeded the bare spots at no additional cost to us. Fence looks great now."

"Dan and Brian were delayed by an hour, but went straight to work upon arrival. They removed the existing panels from the old posts, set the new posts, then re-attached the panels. Brian sawed up the old posts into chunks and offered to stack them by my backyard fireplace! Beautiful job--completed in under two hours. Total cost: $400. (The "other guy" wanted $700!)"

"Price was very good. The installed work was of very good quality, and it looks good. Some minor repair on a gate done under warranty. Once the work got started, it was done quickly. However, the response time to schedule the work was delayed/slow, and that's my main suggestion for area of improvement. Advise your customer on dates for installation, and communicate of any delays on a timely manner. Some times it was hard to get a hold of contractor, so I had to leave multiple messages. I recommend better response time."

"The first week of work went well. The workers were very nice and seemed professional. They needed to leave the steps to the side entrance unfinished until the landscaper finished installing new walkways and shrubs. When the landscapers completed their project, Allied Construction came back and completed the project. The company made us a beautiful new side entrance and the quality of work was top notch. I would hire them again. The only criticism I have would be their not answering phone calls in a timely manner, having said that they still stand above many other contractors contacted. <br />"

"They were a nightmare. The guy who owns the company was a good guy but he did not do a good job. The flowers were supposed to be in by May but they weren't in until July. The flowers were also not the flowers I had asked for. I paid him for the work but I did not like the service. I would not use him again."
