"I contacted five tree removal services for estimates. Richard's Tree Care was the only one who has yet to provide me with an estimate. I do not know what the problem is. I initially attempted to establish an appointment by using the online form on their website. After three or four days of not hearing from them, I decided to contact them by telephone. I did get hold of someone and set up an appointment. The guy came out. Took my list of what was to be done. We went around the yard discussing each tree. At the end, he said he would email me the estimate. I asked if he had my email address. He assured me that the office had it and my telephone number. I waited five days; emailed the office, and still have not heard from them. But, I had to move on. I believe that I gave them ample time to respond, but they chose not to or their communication system is not operating properly. Don't know. Don't care at this point."

"I was amazed that Bryron the son called me the same day of my inquiry which happened over a holiday weekend. The workers could not have been so fast, cheerful and polite on a very hot day than any other company I worked with. Our yard had been neglected we had trees and shrubs hanging over the gutters and stubborn weeds. Now I really feel proud of our lawn when I wave to the neighbors because not only was the greenery trimmed but they made each bush and tree like shrub in a perfect manicured shape. "We have used Freestate to periodically trim our trees and always found Ben (owner) to be professional and more than fair in his pricing. When the heavy winds came through Friday a large tree split and a huge brach (more like a small tree - see photo) crashed down on our neighbor's roof, puncturing it. Our neighbor didn't know who to call so I called Ben. He happened to be in our neighborhood dealing with another downed tree and said he'd come over that night; and he did. The crew off-loaded some heavy machinery and promised to be back in the morning. Promise kept. By end of that day (Saturday) the branch was off the roof, the the split tree (a 70 footer) was down and the crew temporarily patched the neighbor's roof. While they were here I asked Ben to take down two other white pines that are notorious for shallow roots and fragile limbs. He did so at a great price. The neighbors and I are extremely satisfied. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"
